Dilated endoscopy...
I've not had one... But there are many people that have had them. They are not really stretching your stomach. So please don't let that worry you. They are simply opening a passage that has been all but closed off due to scar tissue forming.

Any one else in recovery from addiction and getting VSG?
- passed out for the second time since surgery
I don't know if its fast related for everyone, I've had them starting about 4 months out. It's one of those curiosities I notice a lot around here from people that have the sleeve in common but not necessarily the same post op diets or philosophy...- WOW!?!
- passed out for the second time since surgery
I just seems to be one of those things around here that no one gets answers too. I don't pass out but get dizzy spells fell into a wall a month ago and got a knot on my head. Blood work fine drink 90+ oz a day... I see lots of people here with the same problem... I do drink an electrolyte drink daily. Meh helps a bit... I think....- Almost 2.5 Years Out!

Great job! Look at you! You dropped your weight so fast, that your skin will need a bit of time to catch up. But girl you look awesome now! Be proud- does it never just not work?
- someone help me..im craving oreo cookies!
Oh **** walk away from the Oreos! I know I know they are my downfall too! You will eat one again in life (trust me I can) So don't think these things will be gone forever! I ate a pint of ice cream before my pre op diet.. After I was done with it?? Nothing, nada, it didn't make me feel better. I just ate it and it was gone, no superpowers, no loving feeling. Just more fat that needed to come off after surgery.. Walk away from the Cookies- does it never just not work?
The point of the sleeve is to "help" you limit food intake. It won't (in most cases) make you sick throw up or dump, if you eat the wrong things. The weight loss and KEEPING that weight off is still entirely in our hands. My sleeve does not jump out of my stomach and slap the crap out of my hands. The fact of the matter I can still eat junk AND it goes down easier than the dense Protein. I am the one in control. I guess the only thing I would ask is why are you testing your limits?- Its been two years since I logged on almost 3 years out Before and Afters
Everyone give the girl around of applause! Two years? Thanks for the update. Thank you, We all have some hope now.- Survived
Yay!!! Great job. And if I don't "see" you again before tomorrow..good luck girlie!- 6 month visit - need advice
5:2 plan is intermittent fasting.. Doesn't really work for newly sleeved people because well everyday is kinda like intermittent fasting But it's two days of eating lower calorie (500) and giving your body some "resting" time between eating. I like that part because as sleevers we adopt a diet that is suspiciously close to grazing all day.- 6 month visit - need advice

The fact of the matter is everyone doctors, Pa's, Nuts, **** even all the people here will have different views on what works and what's "right" My take away? f**k em! If its working for you then keep it up. If its not change it. Even with everything science knows about weight and weight loss the body and process are still full of mysteries. I go in on Wednesday, what do you think my surgeon will say about the 5:2 I do?? Well guess what? I don't care! He never had a weight problem or the sleeve. He can only gather so much information from a book. Academics? Meh..- How to use tofu.....

Wow! Is all I can say after reading all of these honest, raw, and beautiful words. I really love you guys.. I gave into stress? Emotions? Greed? late last night.. I was talking to a friend whose son is in the hospital, and stuffed as I was doing it... I spent the rest if the night waking up and belittling myself and early this morning I hated myself. I am human I make missteps. I run off of emotions. I am more than what I put in my mouth. I deserve the love I give to others too. I am worth loving.- Am i kidding myself?
- Losing Weight But Still Feeling Lost
Hi Lunaya, The best I can suggest is finding a counselor that deals with disorder eating. And find a support person or talk it out here... I am a binger too, this surgery does not stop me. Pain? I ate until pain before having this done, so the pain of eating to much isn't really a deterrent now, if I'm feeling a binge I will eat until I can't anymore then wait and eat again. What stops me now? I am honest with anyone who will listen. I come here and tell the ugly truth about what I'm feeling with food and emotions. And at home I tell my husband now EVERYTHING. So he knows when I'm having a rough time. I still fall sometimes. Last week he left for a few minutes and I ran into the kitchen and stuffed a whole Protein bar in my face while he was gone (I'm a sneak eater) But after, I came clean and told him what i did. so it's not a secret I talk about what I was feeling when it happened.- Am i kidding myself?
