  1. And really your going to feel your restriction when you get to ad more dense type proteins.. A lot of us were able to eat a full container of yogurt. Please do measure your food though in the beginning especially, because sometimes your full stomach sensation is not all the way back, so relying on your full signals is not always accurate
  2. I did, it's kinda yucky but if its really cold it's not that bad. Also it's kinda fizzy like a soda.. All in all I'd say enjoy it because its the last thing you'll eat or guzzle for a while! Muahahahaha!!!!!
  3. OH CRAP! My husband is loading up mountain bikes!! I guess I'm riding.... 0_O
  4. **** I put that picture up then decided I didn't want to embarrass her that way! That's right after a "procedure" she had done a couple of weeks ago! Poor baby she's. pretty most days!!! Sorry butter hijack over!
  5. Lol. Yup I'm staring at an ugly chihuahua that needs to be walked... That might be the extent of my exercise today
  6. It's a great start! I'm trying to get motivated for something today but honestly my whole right side is sore!
  7. I always like this explanation... http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/blog/2407/entry-6079-what-is-a-slider-food/
  8. Daisy, it sounds like you have a great week planned! Have a good time with your brother and your beautiful new grand daughter. Cathy, great job on the loss! I love hearing about all of our losses! Your job sounds rewarding. Its so nice to have a career that gives you joy
  9. Tanya, The best thing I can say is STOP. Instead of looking at it like you will never have these things, Look at it as you are finally getting real help. When I got my date I felt a sense of peace knowing this prison I was living in was now to be only temporary. I woke up each new day knowing help was on its way. Don't fall now you are so close! Be kind to yourself, know that you are doing a loving thing for yourself and there is no need to beat up on yourself anymore. The eating or food funerals? As I have said here many times I did one (ice cream) can't even remember the flavor but it was a pint... After I didn't feel good special or anything really, just kind of crappy and knowing o just added to the total I needed to lose. Start tomorrow you just need to make little changes. Don't eat with the mentality that you will never see this food again.
  10. Oh I would definitely have a problem with those! Yum they look good though.
  11. Cheri and M2G, Harder to lose after forty?? Umm you lose things pretty easy, like your eyesight and your keys, but weight? Yes! After 40 the uphill gets a little steeper! But such is life... Ok so eating was crazy yesterday but I really reined it in today. I went mountain biking and had a spectacular fall over a log drop that I tried to "jump" over caught my pedal and yeah... Tomorrow it looks the the holiday BBQ can not be avoided.. So lets see how that pans out
  12. Delta I have NEVER had a problem with you! I think most of us here can say the same thing.... I worry that there is something bothering you? I can't help but feel that you are being confrontational for a reason?!?
  13. You are right what I said was off putting. For that I am sorry.. I never had a reason to be cross with you before. As for your diverse dialogue along with a differing opinion? Let me say this, my experience on the vets forum has always been a positive one. We do not always agree, even in this thread! So please don't think you got the reception that you did for daring to disagree. It was the offensive way you did it. And coming back telling us there is a great big world out there? We are not stupid, so please don't think we don't catch the innuendos to that. It's been an awesome weekend full of outdoor exercise, injury and coming here to support and check on friends. I've noticed that several people that left the forum have come back this weekend somewhat unhappy I'm wondering if the holiday brings out Sadness in some because things are not as they would like them?
  14. Lol! Yes I think I need more practice before doing crazy downhill single track again. Oh my shifting is getting better though. And as hard as the uphill is its not as scary as barreling down (And over the handle bars)
  15. Lol! I was just thinking that being morbidly obese was dangerous for me... But now getting healthy is going to kill me!
  16. My husband clips in on his mountain bike! He's crazy.... Butter you have a nice wife, not sure if I would if been so nice I don't know that I'll ever road bike its scary im a different way.. I don't like that my husband does it either... He rides the steep winding mountains around here and always scared he will be taken out by a crazy driver.. Oh I rode a different bike today it was much better!
  17. Lol! Battle scars!!!
  18. Ok 8 miles the hard way today! Total 14.7
  19. Ok mountain biking today! A little over 8 miles! That's the good news..... The other news is I took an epic fall or fail! We started at wilder ranch for the first three easy miles along the ocean. Beautiful After that my husband took me to an other mountain biking single track spot by UC Santa Cruz. Well I was out front and made a wrong turn on the maze of trails and ended up on a "black diamond" run according to my husband I was on this scary thing not even a hundred feet down this thing when I had to ride/ jump over a massive log. Caught my peddle and flip over the bars!!! Oh yah there was blood! My arm and shoulder is all rug burned up. But nothing broken Hehehe..... ouch hehe.. A view from the first trail.... And a cave we came upon.
  20. Good job (showoff:p) We are loading up the mountain bikes right now I'm going to attempt 10 miles today!
