  1. Let the lecture session begin!!! haha
  2. Well you are just the poster child for success!!!!!! Good for you. I personally have had to deal with temptation. I have succumbed once and ya know what I got back on the wagon. This surgery is not easy and it even harder then I thought. It's a daily struggle. All the coaching in the world could not have prepared me for my daily battle with food. However I am getting stronger everyday. I do understand all points of view and it is not my place to judge ot to call people stupid. I was not raised that way. To each their own?!
  3. I tried it for the first time yesterday too!!!!!!! I was so surprised by how I felt. I could really feel my muscles working. I also burned 425 calories for an hour work out! I am going to start doing this twice a week along with my other classes.
  4. Even though I agree with most of what you said.......everyone's journey is different. Sometimes it takes people longer to understand what they have/should do regarding eating. I don't judge anyone for this reason.
  5. I can't wait until I can do this! Great job!
  6. OMG!!!!! Why have you done this to me??? I had no idea these existed. Ignorance is bliss. I will try and forget....try and forget....try and forget.
  7. This is amazing!!!! Thank you so much for the idea.
  8. Janice, I'm on your side! haha. I agree. Most people on here are completely different. I always read about people who state that they are 3 months out and up to 1200 calories and still losing. While the next person is 3 months out and is at 800 calories and is at a stall. It all depends on the person. We would all love to have the same experience, but the truth is everyone's experience in completely unique. I try to limit myself to a couple of posts a week. I think this is a sign for me to shut up. I'm barely making sense as it is.
  9. When I first started this journey I thought this would never work for me. After talking with my Dr,, the NUT, my surgeon, and the therapist they all agreed that I was a great candidate. You must understand that although it will not fix your metabolism it does control portions to the extreme. We are eating way less than a normal skinny person is eating. I am eating less than my 2 year old.
  10. And I might also add, that even when I was eating healthy ( Vegan for over a year) I still could never get under 190 pounds. I think there are a lot of factors when is comes to weight. OBESITY IS NOT A ONE SIZE FITS ALL. It is possible for two people to eat the same exact portions and food and one be heavier than the other.
  11. I didnt over eat and was still fat. What I did was make bad food choices and was not active enough.
  12. Sleeved on 4/24, i'm only down 17 pounds. I'm an extremely slow looser. I was hoping to be down at least 25lbs by now. If it's this slow now then I can't imagine what it's going to be like these next couple of months.
  13. Ohh yeah and I have only lost 16 pounds. I was sleeved on 4/24.
  14. I have been sleeved for 6 weeks and have been on a stall for 4 of those weeks. YES IT STINKS!
  15. Hey LipstickLady! We have the same Dr. and I think we have the same NP too. Is her last name Paige? At my two week checkup she told me to try some macoroni and cheese! My face lit up. Hahahhaha I had a few bites but then felt guilty.
  16. I kinda gulp and it does not hurt my sleeve at all. If I sipped all day then I would never get any fluids in. I'm in meetings and on the phone all day at work, so sipping just doesnt work.
  17. This is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Lipsticklady we have the same surgeon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you from Richmond??? I don't know why but this makes me so happy!
  19. I am 4 1/2 weeks out and I have a 2 year old. I had help until I was one week out. My son does go to daycare so I was able to take him there. When getting in the car I had a little step stool so that he could climb in the car seat. I waiting until his father was home for baths and I just sponge bathed him. He sleeps in a bed now, so I can't really help with the crib issue. Diaper changes were done on the floor/couch/bed. My Dr. cleared me to lift 30 pounds at my 2 week check up. My son is 31 pounds. So I was fine by then. I hope this helps
  20. Good for you! I am 4 weeks out and went to Panera also. My boyfriend and I shared the pick two. I had a couple of sips of soup, and then the chicken and egg off the cobb salad. It felt great to go out and enjoy lunch!!!
  21. Omg! Great job. Has anyone ever told you that you look like the character Opie from the show Sons of Anarchy???
