  1. Awesome how positive your being hope you get better fast
  2. Congrats on the weight loss. the closer you get to goal the slower and harder it is to get the weight off. If your not gonna exercise you should eat max of 800 calories a day till you get to goal. If you do exercise I recommend to increase calories to 1000. I exercise for about an hour daily and was not able to do this on only 800 calories, each person is different. See what works for your body.Protein intake should be around 70, 64 ounces of water a day, and take your vitamins. Make sure you measure your food and stay away from bad foods(cake, pop, icecream, pizza, brownies, pasta rice.....ect) If you cant help it and want something that's not healthy eat it enjoy it but once in a while.
  3. I couldnt sleep on my stomach the first 1-2 weeks. Im a stomach sleeper. it was painful if i tried. you can try to sleep half tummy half on your side and use lots of pillows . Congrats
  4. definitely it is one of the most important things youll need post op
  5. your so awesome with all this info
  6. When I started my surgery my first goal was to get below my lowest weight I could achieve on my own which was 230. After that my goal was to weigh less then my husband 226. Then my goal was to be in Onederland. Once I made it there my goal was to weigh less than my older sister who was always the thin one 185 . Today I have reached my 5th goal 177 pounds. this is the weight I was when I got married ten years ago. My next goal is to get to 150 pounds which is the median range for my height 5'6'' and body frame size of large. So happy with my sleeve.this surgery is awesome. Life is good
  7. 8. My doctor said to stay away from it completely and only eat it rarely.which I do but love it too. Whenever you do decide to try eat one at a time and slowly
  9. I go to value world and buy clothing there. you can find 50% off coupons in news papers and if your lucky online. Its a thrift store. I went there yesterday and got some awesome outfits for about 10 bucks. they have a big selection too.
  10. Congrats I'm so happy for you. Every body is different. It took me about a month for it to go down maybe a 2 months. Keep up your Protein ,water ,Vitamins and exercise if you can. good luck
  11. I have an app on my phone that lets you put both side by side . on the iphone
  12. I eat bean burritos ,potatoe loaders no bacon and 7 layer nachos made with beans instead of meat. I can only eat half of each but they are delicious. I also get baked potatoes with chives from Wendy and side salad with balsamic vinaigrette.
  13. Go back to basics! 800 calories max per day, 60-70 grams of protein, 64 ounces of water, exercise 3-5 days a week for 45 minutes. Stay away from bad carbohydrates pasta, chips, cake, cookies, ice cream, fried chicken, pizza,. stick to vegetables and fruits for your carbs. Once your back on the wagon don't stop keep going till you get to goal! Weight your self every week! that will keep the weight from creeping up on you without you noticing. Another idea which is my ultimate gift to my self is gonna be a waist necklace? not sure if that's what they call it but its a necklace that goes around your waist. I wanna buy one so if I gain a little weight it will get tight and help me stay on track plus I think it would look nice just a thought I wanted to share
  14. I chose sleeve because I read allot about the pouch stretching and all the weight coming back. second with the sleeve they take out the area that produces grenlin which is a hormone that causes hunger. Third Bypass has long term malabsorption issues with fat soluble vitamins. And finally which is biggest reason why I choose sleeve the anatomy of our intestines. With the sleeve it is not really changed or rerouted like bypass. Good luck to you on which ever procedure you choose
  15. easy things to eat with lots of protein include cottage cheese, Greek yogurt( plain has 22 grams protein in a cup vanilla tastes better but has 17), cheese sticks of all flavors are easy on your stomach, boiled eggs. Another thing to look into is b12 are you taking any? my multivitamin has it in there already. In the first 3-5 months iron supplements really helped me when I got tired , maybe you can get your hemoglobin checked. Its tuff for the first 2 months but as you eat more varieties and become more used to the surgery you'll get better. keep up the great work your doing awesome. my fitness pal .com is a great website to track all your stuff calories, protein, exercise , water consumption, potassium, carbs, weight, inches lost....check it out I use it on a daily basis

  17. My Hair fell out for a while stopped then started falling out again. I don't like short hair so im not gonna cut it . Hope it stops. I have noticed when I consistently eat 60 or more grams of protein a day it slows down allot. When I don't it starts to fall out like crazy! I would give up 108 pounds any day for the hair loss
  18. Take new pictures of your self, and stand infront of a mirror daily and look at your new body! I had the same issue but these two things have helped me allot to see the new me. Also when your out grab a pair of pants or shirt your old size of the rack and look at them then at your self in the mirror its amazing
  19. Hello Hope you are doing well. Would you post some new pics so we can see how your doing. Thanks for sharing your awesome
  20. do have allot of stretch marks on that enchilada if you do I would expect some skin issues once you do drop the weight completly. If not I am hoping that you wont good luck
  21. my daily goals are 800 calories a day,70 Protein,64 Water. So that gives me a deficit of 1,190 calories a day= 2.4 pounds lost a week. I never get all the water and protein in but I try my best . I also have been exercising for about a month now and try to go 3-5 days a week for 1 hour at the gym. I lost 90 pounds with no exercise. I firmly believe that food contributes to 60-75% of weight loss .So, with the exercise I lose about another 1 pound a week.I try to keep calories at 800. When I go above that I don't lose as much. Also eating high protein at every meal makes a big difference and has a great affect on how much I lose weekly. Stick to Greek yogurt, cottage cheese ,reduced fat cheese sticks, low fat milk, beef, turkey, chicken, shrimp, tuna fish, lentils,Beans , all fruits ,all vegetables and as little sweets and salty Snacks as possible. Use olive oil ,canola oil ,pam spray.I weight and measure almost everything I eat using a scale ,measuring spoons and cups. Something else to keep in mind is that every Body is different. Some lose slower than others. keep your eyes on the prize. It will come off eventually if you are following the rules. Congrats on the awesome loss! 80 pounds is equal to 320 sticks of butter
  22. I have an app on my phone called frame its free. I went in and choose the frame that had two photos side by side then choose from my library the 2 photos. Saved it to my library then uploaded it using the vertical sleeve app that I also downloaded on my phone free. Im using an Iphone Hope this helps.
  23. I would get checked out just to be on the safe side. But this is what my life was like for the first month post op . Tierd ,dizzy, and sleepy. Your body is going through a major change and shift that will take a while to level out. Keep up the fluids which can be the culprit and protein. Good luck and hope you get better fast
