Resistance band workout?
I love The Firm Sculptilates. Also Leslie Sansone has a walking vid that uses the resistance band.

First Day Pre-op diet...what did you do?
I started on a Saturday so i could have the day to myself and not have to worry about being distracted and hearing all the food talk. I went shopping, then came home, did some stuff around the house, did some reading and got myself buried in a project. If I was hungry, I had some soup or I drank some water or ate some jello. You're not supposed to starve, so have a shake, some soup, put something in your tummy!

Maybe you should post what you're eating daily. My surgeon advises that when stalls or plateaus come, the first thing to do is cut your carbohydrates, especially after 4pm. Are you losing any inches? Are your clothes baggy or fit weird or have you had to buy new ones?

Wanting to leave my SO?
- Am I making the right choice?
I went with the choice that made me feel the most comfortable, both with price and experience. I'm paying more for my procedure, but I just felt more comfortable having Dr Alvarez do my sleeve. When I tried to talk myself into going to a different surgeon, I just couldn't do it. Go with your gut!- African American Sleevers
In the midst of liquid diet. I'm kind of used to it, now... has not been bad at all. Surgery in 9 days!- trying not to cry, but..
Oh this is great news. Happy new year indeed.- Sleeved In Mexico By Dr. Alvarez Today!
Great you are doing so well. I meet Dr Alvarez in 9 days! He connects with his patients on twitter a lot. Yesterday I told him I was counting down the days!- OMG! I HAVE SO SCREWED UP!
Same. Have your surgery, tell him afterward if you feel comfortable enough to. Our office is small so I figure that people will find out about it eventually.- protein shake help.
I use the Magic Bullet with almond milk and I don't get foam.- Myfitnesspal
I am TheCurvyJ but I don't really use the food diary right now.- Surgery tomorrow!
Good luck!- Protein powder
same!- Dang..........
*nods* Also because my Doc says the better you do pre op, the better you'll do post op. I had a few weeks of OMG EAT EVERYTHING but now I'm okay. Actually Saturday night I really wanted some chicken, but that passed, LOL. Any other time I wouldn't even think about it.- Dang..........
Yes I like them but they need better flavors. They're basically just there to mix stuff into.- Dang..........
Wow, I haven't updated this thing in awhile. Things are moving right along. i started liquids on Saturday mostly because I just got tired of eating. Has been going great so far, except a few times a night when I get snacky but I push through it with some broth or a protein shake. I have Atkins shakes, Muscle Milk lite, and I have some packets of Protein powder from AboutTime cause those are the only peanut butter flavored shakes I can find. They are pretty good. Not like smoothie king but they don't taste like chalk, so I guess that is good. I weighed in at 255.4 on Saturday and today I am 252.6. Getting back under 250 is a huge priority. I notice the difference in my knees, especially once I get over 250. I should be out of the 250's in a few days and then working my way thru the 240s. I have hope that I will be in the 230's when I head to Mexico. Everything else is going fine, except I've left a million things till the last minute. This week and next weekend are going to be full of prepping my house for Postop + my parent's visit. Busy busy! Will make the time fly right by!- does anyone have a similair experience?
Started my pre-op process yesterday! 12 days to surgery. I am ready!- OMG I am tired of eating.
I am gonna start liquids today. I'm so ready! Still supposed to have lunch with a friend but she may cancel. If we do meet up, I'll have Soup. 13 days! So psyched!- trying not to cry, but..
Yep, approval is the hard part! Now just to get on someone's schedule.- OMG I am tired of eating.
I did a few weeks of sparse eating and a few days of liquid only, just to know I could do it. My mother had bypass and my bestie had the sleeve. Both said, "Get it all outta your system. Eat, enjoy. Because once you go on liquids, it's gonna be a LONG time before you can eat anything close to normal." I will have two weeks of liquids only. I figure that'll be payback enough for the last month!- OMG I am tired of eating.
Surgery two weeks from today. liquid diet starts on Sunday. I have been eating.... not a lot just... the stuff I know I would regret not having "one last" of. Then the few people that know I am having surgery have been like, "let's have lunch/dinner/snacks/shove down some food before you start your liquid diet!" I............ am tired of eating. I have never looked forward to a liquid diet so much! I have an event tonight that's a two drink minimum. Believe me, drinks are all I am having. Light lunch tomorrow with a friend. AND THEN THAT IS IT. I might start liquids tomorrow night. For serious.- trying not to cry, but..
It would seem like you're already approved, so they would have to honor that, correct? Check, double check, triple check. Too much work to go through to make you do it all over again.- Eating ANYTHING other than liquids hurts
Starches and sugars probably aren't going to go well. Try some soft protein like retfied beans or scrambled eggs. - Am I making the right choice?
