Just a personal opinion. I wouldn't do the depo shot. I had it before I got the sleeve, its poison. I would do just birth control pills, the implant, or the ring. I gained 60 lbs in 9 months on it, had Migraines everyday, bleed for 9 months straight. Ended up anemic and never felt right after I got off of it until I got the sleeve and lost my weight. Just do your research most everyone I know had a bad experience including myself. But ultimately the choice is yours.

That was never an issue. I didn't have cysts if I did they were teeny tiny and didn't affect me pain or discomfort wiser. I have the hair, I didn't ovulate, I had extremely high testosterone levels, 4 proud a year if I was lucky. But everything seems to be normal except I still grow hair. Once I hit fifty pounds down my period returned. It felt great most woman wouldn't say that but honestly I feel like a Woman again! Hope everything begins to clear up our worst event carbs and refined sugars keep your eyes on the prize!

First month off of birth control it happened(birth control doesn't work with my body the way it is suppose to, long story). Mind you both presleeved babies were fertility treatment babies. I became pregnant at 6 months out down 90lbs. Good luck hun.

Thats awesome congrats. I tried clomid one month and I got pregnant and miscarried at 5 weeks. It scared me to death and made me re-evalute everything. I need to lose weight first.

Pcos diagnosis in 2005, 2 fertility babies one in 04 & 09. Sleeved in 2012 ended up with a surprise pregnancy 7 months post OP no fertility my cycle came every 28 days before pregnancy 23 weeks pregnant. Absolutely thrilled it was natural conception. My fertility has been restored. Hopefully the same for you good luck!

My sweet little man made is debut 10/22/13 . He was a healthy 7lbs and 2 oz. He is absolutely perfect! I have already lost 15 lbs since delivery.... I'm so blessed.

Hey Cady -- Congratulations on your pregnancy! There are actually a couple of threads on here about breastfeeding post-surgery. Seems like it can be done without issue (but I imagine diligence with protein/vitamin/water intake is necessary). Here they are:

We found out we are having a girl! I'm currently half way through my pregnancy and ecstatic. Cannot wait to meet her! Still only about a 7lb gain. I bounce between 200 & 207. But I've had kidney stone and a dangerous bout with my blood sugar last night. I dropped to 48 anything below 65 is not good and mine was dangerously low. But I'm in good hands so I'm not too worried I've had gestational diabetes with the two previous pregnancies. So I'm handling it accordingly. The doctor will probably see me tomorrow.
I'm just grateful for a healthy baby and so far a pretty good pregnancy.

We found out we are having a girl! I'm currently half way through my pregnancy and ecstatic. Cannot wait to meet her! Still only about a 7lb gain. I bounce between 200 & 207. But I've had kidney stone and a dangerous bout with my blood sugar last night. I dropped to 48 anything below 65 is not good and mine was dangerously low. But I'm in good hands so I'm not too worried I've had gestational diabetes with the two previous pregnancies. So I'm handling it accordingly. The doctor will probably see me tomorrow.

Ok so my pregnancy is going great, baby caught back up to what he/she is suppose to be. So my due date its moved back tool Feb 28th, morning sickness is just at night. I'm super disgustingly gassy. My appetite has increased, my pouch isn't not as tight. I'm craving jolly ranchers of all things. Gummy Vitamins 2xs a day once at night once in the morning. I drink a cup of coffee every other day. I'm 13 weeks I did my quad screen everything came back great. Very healthy baby I've been very lucky and ill off and on. My total weight gain for 13 weeks is 3lbs, so far so good. My next doc appt is September 3rd. I'm grateful for this pregnancy. God is good.

Have definitely fallen off track. Gotten a little worse since having a very recent miscarriage this past weekend. I'm really struggling.

Yes, just quit birth control. I have PCOS and have only had one period per year for the last 15+years. Last baby was conceived using all the fertility methods known to man. I'm 127 lbs down and 10 months out. I'm also 11 weeks pregnant with twins! No fertility meds. I have had a regular 28-30 day cycle since the first month after surgery. Good luck ladies. This surgery is a miracle in more than one way!
