I'm 64yo,married since 2000 after being single many yrs & raising my son & daughter.For many yrs it was just the 3 of us.My son died in 2008 @ the age of 38yrs & left behind one daughter.My daughter is married & has one daughter.
I didn't start being over weight (other than pregnancies) until I turned 33,the yr I stopped smoking.It pretty much was a conscious decision to gain weight,took the place of the nicotine & I was trying to insulate myself with fat to keep from getting hurt again...no man would want a fat woman I thought.
When I was young & later came into puberty family members often made jokes about how skinny I was.I would eat & eat trying to gain weight.I was called Olive Oyle & my hands called monkey hands.
Never has my obese body been attractive with my way of thinking.
I tried to be accepted two diff times for WLS & turned down.
My Mother died in 2007 & left each of us kids a small amt of inheritance money. First gonna get breast reduction & my eyes done in Costa Rica.I had seen 20/20 & this episode talked about medical tourism & how Dr.Da Cruz had done a perfect job with a couple ladies being featured from the States with their plastic surgery.
