    Too soon to go back?

You're exactly right - work can wait! I took off three weeks. I did fine when I went back, but you have to get your protein in to keep feeling good. I also found that it was much easier for me to get on a regular eating and protein drink schedule when I am at work.
  2. I was sleeved on Dec 19th and a lot of foods just don't taste good to me anymore. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it temporary?
  3. I am 5 weeks post-op and still feel nauseous every time I eat. Food doesn't quite taste right either. I am hoping this will pass in a few weeks.

    4 week post op

Wow, your doctor must be really conservative! I got to start adding back regular food at 4 weeks. I bet you can handle scrambled eggs or mashed potatoes, but don't want to tell you something against your doctor's instructions.
  5. I had a friend take me to the hospital and home again. I don't think you need to worry about being able to get around... they make you get up and walk a lot in the hospital! And walking is the best thing for you too. I live alone and I was glad that I didn't have to be around other people eating at first. I think you will be just fine!!
  6. I am sooooo tired of vanilla and chocolate, but I hate the fruit Nectar flavors!! I add a scoop of unflavored to my vanilla or chocolate, and I also add sugar-free Jello pudding mix (dry) like cheesecake or banana for a little variety.

    All of my December sleevers...

Surgery date 12/19... down 24, but seem to be stalled! Also having trouble getting enough protein
  8. Thank you all. Th last few days have been really hard!
  9. Hi, I'm Stacey. I had my procedure done on Wednesday, 12/19. I am having trouble getting enough fluids in. I try to sip on my water, but things like Crystal Light just taste too sweet. And I don't like broth. What should I do?
  10. My doctor says I can't take any pills for 5 weeks after surgery, so I should crush my medications to take them. However, one of my meds is a coated pill and it says not to crush. What should I do? I HAVE to take this med!!
