  1. It went amazing! I will be 4 weeks post op on Thursday, and it's the best thing I've ever done! He put me at ease, and the entire process has been fairly smooth. I recovered quickly, and am so happy! I could just kiss the man!
  2. Sounds yummy! Making it tonight. Thanks!
  3. I know! I was all excited about it at first, then I googled it I was bummed out!
  4. Read this article before eating Dreamfield pasta! It's a scam. http://www.dietdoctor.com/the-dreamfields-pasta-fraud
  5. I am 28 and and 4 days post op as well! I have the same feelings, but I know that this will all be worth it. I just keep thinking about the future. How much healthier and happier I will be once this 115 pound load is off my back. Just keep pushing onward, we will get there!
  6. Things went well! Staying here another night to get some extra rest. Feeling pretty good, except lots of hiccups. Doesn't feel so good. Looking forward to go home and see my husband and my 18 mo old son. Passed the leak test, so I am hoping to not have any side effects! Hope you're all recovering well. We made it!
  7. Thank you! I'm so nervous I can't sleep anymore. Might as well get up. Good luck to all.
  8. I am also having surgery tomorrow! Sooo nervous but excited as well. Wishing everyone luck $ prayers to you all.
  9. My NUT said to look at the nutrition facts and ingredients. If it has more than 2 grams of sugar but is NOT one of the first five listed ingredients then it's naturally occurring sugar, therefore okay. But like BBQ sauce for example, first ingredient is high fructose corn syrup..immediate no no. Because its added sugar. But dole 100% juice fruit cup doesn't list sugar in the first 5 ingredients so it's okay. Does that make sense? And of course watch the sugar consumption, but natural sugars in fruits/veggies is better than extra added sugar to things.
  10. Prayers to you & good luck!!
  11. My date got moved up! It's now December 27th, instead of Jan 15th. I am freaking out!
  12. I started my appointments in August, and it moved pretty quickly. I have no other comorbidities other than asthma, but my BMI was between 38-40 and so I think that's why I was approved with the insurance right away. I have already done my psych eval, which seems easy breezy compared to some I've read about. I didn't have to take any crazy tests, she just talked with me for an hour and we discussed my history and etc. She has had bariatric surgery herself, so it made me really comfortable. I have BCBS so they required that and a letter of necessity from my doc before approving. So now I am just waiting until January for the pre op appt and then surgery! How about you?
  13. I haven't told anyone other than my mom or husband, so I completely understand! Everyone I have talked to on here so far is super nice. I definitely think this is a great support system. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask!
  14. I know what you mean, it's scary! But I just try to remind myself of all the things I will be able to do with my son in the future. Just trying to stay positive, and know that this is will be helpful to all of my family in the long run. Keep in touch, we can support each other!
  15. Hey guys! Fellow January sleever here! I'm 28 and from MI!

  18. Thank you so much for your input. I feel better knowing I'm not the only one with a small kiddo It sounds like you're doing really well, congrats! I know that in the long run it will benefit him as well, it's just the what if's that are scary.
  19. Hey all, I am getting sleeved in January. I am new here, but do a lot of reading. I was wondering if anyone else is getting sleeved that has a toddler?
