    Still losing slowly at just over 10 months. I'm very close to my surgeons goal of 27 BMI. I would like to lose another 10 pounds and see how I feel. I'm not in a rush and I recognize that it might take several months to get there. But I'm not stressing or trying to hurry it along. When I make good food choices I still have really good restriction. I'm in US size 6. I can now do push-ups! I run three times a week, BodyPump once a week, and Zumba once a week.
    I don't log my food but will start again if I start to gain. I choose high Protein and veggies most of the time. I weigh daily.

    Everyone stares at me when I come in for my appointments. One girl actually said why are you here? Omg how rude. OK so I'm not as big as most of the people here but I want to be at a healthy bmi and I need help too . I am over 200lbs but most people would never guess it. My weight distributes evenly throughout my body so I hide it well with the right clothes. But I do qualify for the surgery and I do need it. Stop starring at me! Lol.

    I'm 14 months out and proud to say I'm still 5ft2in. Have lost 1/2 inch over the years. I was 65 when I had the surgery, and was 22/24 or 1x, 2x depending on the clothes. I have lost 100.5 pounds and was 125.4 yesterday.....5 pounds below my goal. Want to maintain now so that I don't go above 130. Wearing a size 8P,10p or 12 P depending on the style of pants. Medium or Large P on top. Never weighed that. Have lots of loose skin so not sure what I will do. My body is still changing though. Good luck with your journey!!

    Hey Curvy girl... Welcome to the group!! I know how you felt about waiting but don't be scared. I don't regret my sleeve at all and I would make the same choice all over again. However, I am 4 weeks post op and the process is very slow. Not necessarily the Weightloss (which is great) but trying to eat is a process. I am 5'1 HW 197 CW 168 and I am one month out tomorrow. Every persons body is different an will react to the surgery differently but I get sick easily. Again enjoy the ride to March and eat what you like bc come March it's gonna be over for a few months!!! Good luck

    Thank you and ur right time is flying but I want it right nowwww lol. What's crazy is I'm this excited and scared at the same time of getting a blood clot or not waking up from surgery. No matter what nothing scares me more than remaining in my current over weight unhealthy status so scared or not that sleeve is mines lol

    CurvyCakes, welcome! I was sleeved in August, and it was the best decision I've made for myself.....was wearing a very tight 22, and now wearing size 14......and the health benefits from the weight loss and exercise trump everything else. March will be here before you know it, good luck!

    Hey y'all!
    I love reading the stories of those who've been sleeved recently are experiencing such success!
    My surgery was Tues and I'm down 5lbs in 4 days so I know it's going to be an exciting journey!!
    Now, on to the serious...did anyone else have stabby pains on the left side of your body after being sleeved? I'm constantly clutching and trying to put pressure on my side to keep from having so much pain.

    I was sleeved on Monday, surgery went well. Arrived at hospital at 8am was on surgery by 11:30, was in room by 2:30pm.woke up with a NG tube down my nose (my MD does as a protocol to prevent vomiting) also had a drain.Was NPO until 24 hours. On Tuesday morning was given leak test with horrible tasting blue dye. (abt 5 oz) it took my 2 hours to drink, but no leaks. Then they gave me a 20oz water bottle with crystal lite. That took me 6 hours to drink. MD d/c me around 6pm and I was able to sleep in own bed last night. So far no nausea or vomiting...incisions & tummy muscles very sore. (Hard to get in/out of bed). But all in all things are going well. My new schedule includes walking and sipping.

    Hello everyone on day 2 of my clear liquid and I must admit it's not bad. Can't wait to join the losers bench. Having surgery on the 30th can't wait. Just hoping I can tolerate Protein Shakes after.

    I was sleeved on 1/7 and it's been an amazing 14days. 21 pounds down 11lb preop 10 postop, although I think about food I have no taste for it. My focus is to get my 60gm of Protein stay below my 800 calories and sip as much Water as possible. I am so ready to be 100 pounds lighter. Good Luck everyone

    I will do that...I am 11 mos out best decision I've ever made! I had the pleasure of having my surgery in Mexico since my insurance would not cover it I must say that I was a little hesitate but it was a great experience, I was never alone! I am 80lbs down now thought I would be at 100 by Feb 18th but I am more than satisfied with my progress.

    I am GF with auto-immune issues. One of my best tips is Bisquick Gluten Free. It is in Walmart and a ton of other supermarkets. I use it like I used flour. I have a ton of other inexpensive short cuts and tips. Just private message me anytime. I know it can seem overwhelming and even scary but you can do this, eat well and get to healthy! Blessings!

    I had an idea for the past couple years that I had Gluten Issues but I was trying to get everything else in my life on track and get my weight down. I have Diabetes (Insulin dependent), fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, RA, OA & Psoriatic arthritis and a few other issues. Well now 1 year after Gastric Sleeve surgery and 93lbs down I am having enough issues with the Gluten that my Dr says I need to go Gluten Free.
    Does anyone have any experience with these issues and have any words of wisdom you'd be willing to share?
    Also I know there are a butt load of sites out there that have GF recipes, but what im having issues finding are places to get GOOD & CORRECT information about it and about all the new and different flours out there and other ingredients that I will now need to use. I live in a small town and there aren't many "Health" food stores to get info from. I would love to hear any help you are willing to offer to make this easier and less confusing for me. katrina_thatsme@hotmail.com Thank you in advance :}
