  1. hey guys - hope everyone is well. I am 14 days post-op and so far have only been weighing myself once a week. the thought behind that is "i dont want to become a slave to the scale" - but, now that I am starting on stage 3 - soft foods, im wondering if i should weigh myself daily to keep better track of how the new foods i am introducing to my sleeve may affect my weight. Any feedback? Do you weigh yourself daily/weekly/monthly/never and why? thanks in advance! Marisol
  2. What great valid points you have all shared. Thank you so much. I like the idea of doing measurements. Haven't yet but i think i will start tonight. Thanks guys.
  3. if i see a difference now that i am introducing new foods i will go to once a day... because i agree with the above posts regarding accountability. thanks again, youre all awesome.
  4. thanks guys. i think i will stick to once a week and just keep on doing what im doing. @perfectlyimperfect i like your idea of snapping a pic every week too. think i will start doing that, thanks!
  5. bravo to you lisa. i am an opener-sleever, i posted on facebook the day i started my pre-op diet - by this time, everyone in my family, close friends, and some co-workers knew. i voiced my reasons, my hopes and fears and stepped back to see the reaction - and it was and has been amazing. my friends are super supportive and i am only 8 days out. i just figured in these days of social media, there is no way that people wont see the changes my body will go through. i am proud of myself for making this decision. its not easy - and its a lifelong commitment, but if this sleeve gives me a better quality of life not only for myself but for my family it will all be so worth it! sleevers are bad-asses! LOL
  6. Isopure is so not the business. Lol but here i am 4 days post op and i finally get some Cream of Wheat in the morning. Lol. not gonna lie these first four days have been tough, lots of gas pain, lots of tenderness... i miss my bed. I waited too long to take my liquid pain meds today, and the pain was so intense, i had a moment today where the "what the hell was i thinking"... but theres no looking back now. Gotta keep on keepin on. Hope y'all are doing well.
