  1. My surgeon says one cup of coffee a day is fine. That's all I have. I am off carbonation and alcohol. He doesn't want us drinking for a year. I don't think I will drink until I hit goal.
  2. Are you taking an acid reducer?
  3. I love these stories! I didn't have issues with attracting men after my first marriage went south. In fact I had some friends of my ex asking me out before we were divorced. I said no to most of them. I found that everyone has their type and honestly I knew deep down I was going to lose weight come hell or high Water so I really didn't want to date anyone who wasn't on the same path to health. I did have some funny experiences with online dating. I used to have younger men contact me on MySpace asking me out. No idea why, they were like ten years younger than me. I just said no. And I met my husband online. I actually didn't want to wait to long to meet because I was afraid we would build it up and then something might be off when we met in person. I didn't want to waste time and get hurt. We got engaged six months after our first date. I wish I could be a matchmaker and help everyone find love.
  4. I think some people don't realize how big they are until they lose. Some people think they are way bigger than they are, and some people are just living life like a funhouse mirror. Like one day you think you look great and the next you think you look immense. I dont think women should be referring to themselves that way at all. There's always someone who finds you attractive. I bet you are really cute! Sorry they were hurtful to you. I bet they weren't even thinking about you at all.
  5. Wait I thought wings were dark meat. They aren't?
  6. I thought it was kind of funny. I think I got my mojo back. Now I can give my hot hubby the attention he deserves.
  7. What? I think there is more fat in wing meat than in breast meat. But breast meat is a lot drier and my surgeon even told me to eat dark meat first. Good for you. Isn't it funny how such a small amount of food likes an accomplishment?
  8. That's great. I do notice so many people look younger in their after pictures. I have looked and looked trying to figure it out. It isn't just the clothes, the make up and hair. They just seem to glow more!

  10. 200? Wow that's crazy. Good luck. I think my husband might like it but he might say like he wished I were more naked? lol
  11. I'm at six weeks and I just had salad for the first time yesterday. Before that I did eat cucumbers raw but I figure they are soft. Yesterday I had cucumbers, spinach leaves and carrots and I was fine. I never thought I would miss salad but I did. I have yet to try red peppers, they seem to always be a mess in my stomach before surgery so I can't imagine what they would be like after!
  12. Did you give them to your hubby yet? I'm thinking about doing it, maybe just doing pin up type after I get to goal. They turned out great!
  13. That's awesome! Good for you! My h and I have always had a crazy good sex life. I'm lucky to have a very talented man, but things are somehow even better now! Enjoy it!
  14. I had it big time today. I just wanted to eat because food was there, not because I needed nutrition.
  15. I lost thirty pounds with WW three years ago and gained it all back plus 35 pounds. I know how it feels. We know how to lose but we can't keep it off. It's why we need surgery. Our hunger hormones go into high gear after we lose weight. Try not to beat yourself up.

  17. It gets much better. The third week was the hardest for me.I don't know how people go to work so quickly. No wonder you are tired, your stomach is still healing and your body uses a lot of energy to heal. Hang in there. I'm almost at six weeks and I feel much different. It takes time for your body to heal, but it seemed like everyday it was a little easier to eat and drink. I would try Gatorade 2, that way you get electrolytes too.
  18. Well I got it back, yay.
  19. I know you started higher than me but I was on 3/25 and I'm at 270 from surgery weight of 299. You are doing awesome! I get this way too. I think it's all changes, it's the fact that we have lost weight but aren't close to there yet, food isn't entertainment anymore.
  20. I have lost 40 pounds and none of my coworkers said a thing.
  21. Thanks I hope it does return soon but right now I'm about to get Aunt Flo so I don't care.
  22. I'm usually wanting it all the time but I have no sex drive left! We have done it once in five weeks since surgery. I have no energy and I just don't feel like it at all. I don't know what I'm going to do if this is my new normal!
  23. Apparently it was in my stomach. I used to be very high libido. We have had sex once in five weeks! And I don't miss it! I don't feel like I have any drive at all. We used to do it two or three times a week. My husband is very patient thankfully. I am scared it's never going to come back!
  24. I agree in theory. But I did it when I was quite a bit smaller and it just disgusts and depresses me now. And I really don't need to have a teacher showing me how to do poses to get around my fatness. Ack.
  25. Oh I would hope people wouldn't be rude enough to ask why you are getting a divorce! Id probably just say "ask him." Just because people ask doesn't mean they have a right to know. We live in a society where everyone wants to share every minute of their exciting lives on social media, where people want to document their entire WLS experience on YouTube: that is fine for them. Great. But whatever happened to discretion and privacy? I am not telling anyone at work. Some of them think I had a hysterectomy with complications. Whatever. I lost twenty pounds in a month and not one person has mentioned it which is awesome. The last time I announced I was trying to lose weight by going to WW meetings at work I just felt under the microscope and like some people wanted me to fail, others were jealous. I am not a circus act or a form of entertainment. Just because everyone wants to be on TV talking about the intimate details of their lives doesn't mean we are required to disclose the details of ours to our acquaintances.
