  1. Did you still have to hold on to the treadmill? I can't walk without the support. HA!
  2. Sorry for what you are going through! I have made sure to have the proteins I can eat in the house and my husband has a special place he keeps the things he can eat that I don't. I'm almost 4 months out, and upped the amount of protein per the PA's suggestions. Trying to get my exercise and liquids in. Just got sick because I ate turkey breast. My husband weighed it for me and I made it through to ounces and part of a cloud bread....but it didn't agree with me. UGh! Take it a day at a time and track the protein. Good luck to you!
  3. I'm afraid to run on the treadmill!!! Got to 2.9 today which is the highest I've gone since my surgery!
  4. Are people tracking on their iphones or what are you doing?? My nut starts the training on March 18 for a 5k on May 11th. I can start early. Got up to 2.9 on the treadmill but afraid to let go and try and run on it. HA!! Carol
  5. Just got an email back from my doctor and my nut. They encourage me to go for it( my husband will work out with me too) and the worse that will happen is that I walk the 5k instead of running it. I'm 66 so this should be a challenge because I HATE to exercise except water aerobics because that doesn't hurt. Hit 50 pounds lost today and had my massage as a treat yesterday!! Go for it!
  6. I hate walking on the treadmill but am thinking of the 5 K training that the nut does at my surgeons's office. Signed the release but she isn't in today, and I got the ok from the surgeon that replaced my knee two years ago. Have lost 49 pounds but I'm not at goal yet. HUMMMMM!! What to do!!
  7. Have been ok'd to do the training. May 11th is the big day!! I'm. 66 and hate running so will see!!
  8. I am waiting for a call back from the doc that did my knee replacement almost 2 years ago. My nut is setting a training session up. ,
  9. I'm almost 4 months out, and added a protein shake. I want to see if I can walk a 5 k in the summer/not sure I can run because of knee replacement. I don't like Greek yogart but use it in place of the cold water when I make jello as a jellow mousse. Can get it down then. Make some roasted chickpeas that are cooling now, and am working on protein balls that I saw on the recipes. Will see what happens to add some variety. Great weight loss!! I don't eat the slider foods as they would be a problem for me.
  10. I'm making them for my card group for tomorrow. Will let you know.
  11. You did this for yourself, no one else. Don't argue and do what you need to do for you!!!
  12. Hi to the new Michigan to be sleevers! I was self pay so mine time so I went to the first seminar October 4th, saw the doctor the next week, and had all my tests, etc. done and sleeved on Nov. 12th. Upped my protein this week, and am now down 48.5 pounds over halfway to my goal!! Still struggling with all my liquids though!!! So glad I did this. I haven't been this low in many years!!!! Carol
  13. Praying you can go home soon. Zofran really helped me, too!! They give it to me with any surgery now; Otherwise I'm sick for several days, like a motion sickness. You can do this and will feel better. Carol
  14. Avoid the junk!!! It's not worth it in the long run, unless you can curb it and I know I will struggle with that.
  15. I don't know but know that I still can't have it.....Think I can at 6 months, but it is hard for me to only eat a little bit...so may still avoid it.
  16. Popcorn was one of my favorite snacks and I could eat a whole microwaved bag. Can't eat it yet...and have made it through shows with my protein drink hidden in my big purse!!!
