  1. Wow...Ann looks beautiful despite the weight gain! Thanks for the pic! And how ironic....I'm sitting here listening to XM radio and "Even It Up" just came on! Happy 4th of July! Toni
  2. I'm no expert, but I think you are in desperate need of a fill! You should have had more than two by now, eh? Call you doctor's office and see if you can get in for a fill! Good luck! Cheers, Toni
  3. Bandanna...you've got the spirit----and the get-up to boot! Thanks for starting this thread. Good luck with your choices today, everyone...... <pass the ketchup, mustard, onions and relish, please> teeheehee! Toni
  4. {{{{{{{ Simply }}}}}}}}}}} So excited for you! You'll do GREAT solo....no problems and no worries. I was alone and drove myself, too. Cheers, Toni
  5. I don't know if it's jealousy or not, but my best friend---who struggles with weight to on a small degree, but LOVES to eat out/get together to eat with me, has not contacted me once since I've been banded over a week ago. Not even to check in with me. And I sent an email to her and her husband letting them know I was banded. Still no word..... .....this saddens me to no end. I'm just feeling rejected and upset. Feels good to just post this and let it out.....thanks for the forum!!! Toni
  6. I can totally relate to this. I have ALWAYS been thinner than my younger sister. Now we are about the same, and since she found out about my getting banded, she's dieting like a mad-woman. What the?!? Oh, and she had the gastric bypass about 7 years ago and gained all her weight back. :phanvan I wish I could say she was doing it for HER health, happiness, etc., but I have to wonder.... Just drives me nuts, but I'm going to let it go. It will all work out in the wash! ----Toni
  7. Marcar....welcome to the wild side! I was banded on 5/31, and so I'm recouperating, too! Just wanted to answer some of your questions according to my Dr. (and all Doctors are different, so call your office if you have real concerns) I'm supposed to be on a clear liquid diet for SEVEN days that include: coffee TEA broth low-sugar juice sugar-free popsicles skim milk and Protein shakes have been a discrepancy on my paperwork sugar free Jello No carbonated drinks Take small sips and go slowly...avoid gulping I have enjoyed coffee both mornings post-op, today moreso than yesterday! HTH and Congrats to you!!!! ---Toni
  8. I love the strips, too! MintyFreshness rules! I was banded in Houston on the 31st and doing great, too. I think that there's a whole-lotta-bandin' goin' on in Texas! I didn't get Codeine, but liquid hydrocodone and it serves the same purpose. At least helps me bend over more easily! Best wishes to you!!!!! ---Toni
