Walking a lot....how much is a lot
I walked about 6 miles getting up every 15 minutes to pee that night. Does that count? LOL I'm sure I annoyed my roommate, but when you gotta go, you gotta go!

Lying about Weight Loss Surgery !
For me it's very simple, I have an opportunity to educate and me telling others about the surgery eliminates the gossip.

My best friend is mad at me for having the surgery, and it makes me so sad : (
When did a life choice become a group decision especially when this doesnt effect your friend. I understand that you consider this person a friend, but when you've made other important decisions in your life was she involved in those decisions as well? Sometimes "we" make decisions that no one else is going to like and we must stand by those decisions and stand up for ourselves no matter what others say. I would give her space, but before giving her that space I would tell her how much you love her as a friend and no matter how upset she is you aren't changing your decision to have the surgery. Ask her would she prefer to see you happy and healthy or miserable and unhealthy.....and if she is your true friend she will stand by you even though she doesn't agree with you. Sometimes all a true friend needs to do is just be there. I hope your friendship can survive this.

I hate to admit it
Amy, it's overwhelming because this is time consuming. Get yourself a timer and get yourself on a schedule. Set the timer to alert you 30 mins to drink. Prepare your meals in advance, It's a pain in the butt, but you will need to do this until you've mastered everything. This too will pass.......

Should I be reading the after surgery posts?
I agree with Dean, you should obtain all of the information regarding your surgery from your surgeon. Your surgeon may have a surgical protocol vastly different from others. You will also find so many varying opinions. Once sleeved you can either read through the threads or post your own question. Whatever you choose, good luck to you.

Lost More Than The Weight
A seamstress or tailor can be your best friend. Before I embarked on this journey I spoke with a seamstress to make sure she would be able to alter my clothing as my weight loss continues.

Any Smokers/Ex-Smokers?
Now this is true! When I was quitting, I had two jars one with smoked cigarette butts with Water (when you open the jar the stench is overwhelming and disgusting), and one to put all the money I saved. Of course cigs were much cheaper then, but I was still able to make a major purchase from the money I saved.

Any Smokers/Ex-Smokers?
I'm an ex smoker. Twenty three years to be exact. I stopped because my job location was becoming a smoke free environment and the company offered a free smoking cessation program SMOKENDERS. SMOKENDERS is a behavioral modification program. I know it's hard, but I would really suggest quitting, you will feel so much better smoke free.

Showing Off... Anyone?
WYSIWYG with me at any size. I won't show off or plan to bump into anyone, all of my exes and friends have embraced me at all the sizes I've been, but if they see me and compliment me on my weight loss that will make me smile.

Saturday afternoon cocktail
I want to try the kale protein shake and my niece is the expert (so she says) of the green shake. I do like to experiment with wild concoctions, so I want to try a spicy hot protein drink (if that is possible) it would satisfy my thirst, protein and need for heat. If my mother was alive she would be my Guinea pig. Lol

Saturday afternoon cocktail
That sure looks tasty, I love the martini glass. Just invested in a vitamix, but haven't used it yet. My neice and I were going to make shakes but were so busy running today we didn't get a chance. I will be trying it out soon.

The blues
I know it must be hard for you, but just think that in a few months you will be much healthier and perhaps you will be smiling. Just think you are blessed to be able to have this surgery to change your life. Sometimes you have to but everything in perspective, hopefully it will get better.

When did your toughest weight loss plateau occur?
I'll be 5 months out tomorrow and I have yet to have a plateau. This might be early and I might experience one later, but for now I'm okay.
