  1. Arcus, see the link below, this may assist you: http://www.obesityaction.org/educational-resources/resource-articles-2/weight-loss-surgery/what-to-do-when-youre-denied-bariatric-weight-loss-surgery Good luck!
  2. I saw it earlier. I love it. Here is the clip from the show; http://www.wendyshow.com/2013/01/16/lisa-lampanelli-weight-loss/ Fabulous!
  3. Aquasize is a very good alternative. Check your local YMCA. You might want to get gel shots (synviscone) or cotisone in the mean time if you haven't already. Good luck!
  4. " My doctor had suspended it post surgery bc it would cause dehydration." Your doctor knows best. Drink more Water and continue on your diet and exercise. This too shall pass.
  5. Why are you eating all the time? Figure out why you are eating (home alone, bored, stressed) and find something else positive to do instead of eating. Go for a walk. Read a book. Do some jumping jacks, anything but eat and join a support group. If you can't do it on your own get some help. It is too early to give in to defeat!
  6. Note all post-op instructions and keep your surgeons number available to call if needed. Be brave and embrace the new you. Good luck!
  7. Why so much hate for the person, did that person do something to you in the past? Can I ask you why you allow people that you work with that much power to anger you? "Why don't you keep your uneducated opinions to yourself you horrid witch." Personally, that would have been a perfect opportunity to educate the ill informed.
  8. Why do you care? If you aren't going to correct them and take away their power to annoy/bother you those "rumors" will continue to swirl around the office. You are giving them more power. Educate them, walk away and shut them up.
  9. I didn't think so, I am just concerned that posters are asking medical questions that some are responding with a diagnosis and providing questionable advice.
  10. Curious. Are there any MD's or surgeons that are members of this site or contribute to the forums? It would be nice to see responses from medical professionals, but I could also understand legally why they would not provide advise on a message board.
  11. The time you spend writing this you should be in route to the hospital. C'mon, you already know the answer to your question.
  12. I would call the insurance company to verify that the correct CPT code was used.
  13. Frozen grapes are delicious.
  14. Why not take an anti-nausea medication instead?
  15. I take omeprazole daily, my stomach still gurgles. Maybe if I drink a Pepsi the gurgling will stop. (J/k)
  16. I was really directing my question to the OP. From what I have read the master cleanse is not a very healthy fast. I'm trying to find out if the OP is trying to jump start her weight loss or just wants to try the fast. Seems like the wrong thing to do for someone less than even 6 months post op. But that's my opinion.
  17. If you feel that's the right choice for you, go for it! You have to be comfortable and if you think this is best solution for you, go for it. Hmmm......very Interesting responses. Wow!!
  18. What's the purpose? Why would you want to do a master cleanse? I think you already know the answer to your question.
  19. Love hot foods and I can still eat most things, but I might not be able to tolerate the high Scoville scale heat items because you need something to wash away that throat heat. Lol
  20. Yep, mine gurgles all the time. Between myself and my dog I don't know who's stomach is louder.
  21. Here are my thoughts on this, why not focus on yourself and ignore what the others are doing. Far too many times do I see where "we" focus on others instead of ourselves. If they are trying to lose weight, good for them. I always said I could care less what others are doing as long as it isn't affecting me. Life is a whole lot easier when you take to the time to embrace YOU instead of others. Good luck with your weight loss!
  22. Yes I would do it again. Surgery 10/08/2012, no pain, no gas, no nausea! So far I have lost 66 lbs with much more to lose.
  23. I think the hard part is getting adjusted to the wait time before drinking. Basically it is behavior modification. I eat until just before I have that full feeling and then stop, I then start my timer and wait for it to go off. In the meantime I find myself busy doing other things and most times now when the timer goes off I don't have to instantly take a sip. When at work I try to take a walk and talk with colleagues, before you know it 1/2 hour or more has passed. You will have to learn to change your behavior. As for soda, I would drink diet Pepsi daily, I don't miss it at all. Oh, and BTW I stopped the day I had the surgery (10/8/2012). The less you stress about what you can't do before you are required to do it, the better off you will be. This is a small sacrifice in my opinion.
