  4. Thanks for all the great posts. I am dealing with a slow loss as well. sleeved 11/15 and only down 28lbs. Really thought it would go faster. I am so glad to read I am not alone. But I will be a cheerleader for those who are going faster!!!! Went to see my Dr today. He was satisfied with the loss and told me any loss over the holiday has to be a plus. And he is right. Keep it up everyone!!
  5. Thanks katsmeow. I have been to a couple of groups, but wasn't sure. You are doing great!! I haven't been doing nearly as well, but hope to catch up soon
  6. I had my surgery Nov. 15th. I am only down 18lbs. I feel like such a failure. I am really trying to get the protein in and drink the water. So frustrated!! I understand your pain of holiday foods, but I have been good and stayed away from all the sweets, it really isn't bothering me, I just don't understand why I am still not losing. I lost 62lbs on my self imposed preop and my liquid diet. Feel like I was doing better on my own. Makes no sense. Sorry, just needed to vent.
  7. My Dr is in Murfreesboro at MTMC. He is awesome. Dr. Westmoreland. He has a support group there too. Not sure if it is open to all, but I am headed there this morning. My son is a student at MTSU in his 3rd year. Let me know if I can help in any way.
  8. I love my mirena. And it is good for 5 years. Helps with the monthly cramps too.
  9. that is awesome!! keep it up!!
  10. I am feeling great after surgery. I am just over 2 weeks out. Tolerating pureed and mushy foods well. Goodluck Jac and Douglas!! and Congrats Samantha!! Hope all is well
  11. has 49 carbs. I am only allowed 30 per day. Way too much sugar for me
  12. Bariatric advantage shakes aren't too bad. I love the Iced Latte!! Also try Syntax Nectar. Really like the lemonaid. Hope it helps, Ms Tink
  13. If you get one that closes in the front, it will stay off your stitches and be more comfortable. easier to manage after surgery too.
  14. Way to go!! Keep up the good work.
  15. I am only a week out, but would love a small glass. It is on my list of questions for my surgeon next week.

  21. My surgery is Nov 15th!!!!! Yaaay me Middle TN
  22. my friends think this is so easy. have surgery, lose the weight, no work at all. the preop is so difficult for me. I too cheated 10 days out. I am hoping the fear I feel about the surgery being called off keeps me on track. I am in a panic that I will fail.
  23. I am scheduled for my surgery on Nov. 15th. I was top weight of 330, at 310 in July when I actually started the whole sleeve journey. I am down to 278 as of yesterday. yaaaaaaaaaaaaay lol. Hoping to loose a few more in the next 11 days. Just could use someone to connect with that is going thru this as well. Would love to find someone close who could be a real buddy and maybe a workout partner.
  24. Donny please follow your surgeons advice. I TOTALLY understand the frustration!!! I am on day 5 of a 2 week liquid preop. I trust my Dr and wish I was one of the ones that didn't have to worry about this liquid stuff. But I think the ketosis finally kicked in and I am not hungry anymore. Just choking down the shakes. So glad you are postop and doing well. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!
