12 week Transformation challenge for vets
Thanks guys! I think my nerves have awoken and I'm in pain! But I am happy the gallbladder is gone and over with. I'm going to do some walking today to get rid of this gas stuck in my shoulder! I hope I feel better by Tuesday because I'm signed up for a CPR class. I have so much to do because I'm starting nursing school in August. You know it's funny, all I've wanted for the past few months was a break. Time to sleep, a break from motherhood, and to be able to relax. Now my kids are in Austin with my mom and I'm forced to relax. I suck at relaxing and I miss my babies terribly! Haha!

Head hunger vs. Real hunger
I agree! I just was in the hospital and couldn't eat for 3 days! My stomach was growling and I felt very weak! I know when I'm physically hungry and when I just want to eat. My hunger never went away, just not as ravenous as before.

Yea emergency. I had pain for 5 1/2 hrs and they said it caused acute pancreatitis. Thanks Fiddle, I think I'm good. No pain just bummed. But hopefully I'll get to go home in the morning. Maybe I can walk during my recovery time. I'll talk to the surgeon in the morning.- 12 week Transformation challenge for vets
Well guys and gals, I'm out! I'm currently laying in a hospital bed. Just got my gallbladder removed this SUCKS! I'll be back though!- Seriously, you can't fix stupid
I have never in my life cared for soda. EXCEPT when I'm pregnant and I find myself craving one after being sleeved. I guess I want what I can't have. Anyway, that's all I have to contribute to this thread.- **** Always sick, Urrgghhhh!****
I would call the doc if you haven't already. Some people get strictures or a collapsed sleeve that prevents them from keeping anything down. Good luck to you and I hope you find answers soon!- 12 week Transformation challenge for vets
For me personally, I don't get the results I want doing it on my own. I do work out videos and they really work toning the right places instead of bulking up. I know your options are limited GT but that's what helped me. I cancelled my gym membership because it just didn't work for me. I'm no expert so that's the only info I have lol. I think Fiddleman was just saying switch it up and don't give up!- Getting co-workers to trumpet your success....
Baaaaahaha!- Super Nurses With Sleeves (Support Group)
Thanks! I'm doing the two year for now and hopefully when my babies are older, I'll get my BSN.- Super Nurses With Sleeves (Support Group)
Thanks, Laura! I've never cried from being so happy before. You'd think I won the lottery! It's extremely hard to get in here in Houston. I ran and jumped on my poor sleeping husband!- Super Nurses With Sleeves (Support Group)
Oh my God!!!! I made it! I freaking made it into the nursing program! I just received an email! I'm crying, overjoyed, and extremely nervous! I didn't think I would be this emotional! Loving life right now!- Just my luck...
Yup. My luck too. I started the morning of and it was extremely heavy!- H pylori
I didn't know it was contagious!!! I just finished the antibiotics for it. I hope I didn't give it to my babies!- CHEWING FOOD AND SPITTING IT OUT!
I have to admit I did this one time while on liquids. Afterwards I thought what the hell??? That's disgusting! Not good!- tired of being lectured on here
I think it's just hard for most of us to understand someone being obese without overeating and how the sleeve would help. I'm 7 months out and eat 1200-1400 calories a day. I eat when I'm hungry only and work out most days. If I gained weight at 1200-1400 calories a day, I'd be screwed! It's easy to live off of 500-1000 calories in the first few months but a lot harder the further you're out. For me anyway. I do understand what you're saying though. I've read some people completely blame anything other than overeating and claim to eat 800-1000 calories a day before the sleeve. How will the sleeve help them? I think the "lecturing" is to 1) help understand 2) make sure they aren't waisting money and time on this procedure that will absolutely not change their eating habits if their honestly eating 800-1000 calories anyway and 3) make sure they are 100% being honest with themselves. I'm not saying this is you but some people truly don't understand this procedure. I even read that someone thought it would work because the sleeve doesn't process the calories like a normal stomach. You still absord all nutrients your stomach is just smaller. I agree that we shouldn't be judgmental but some people do need to be educated and quit lying to themselves! I'm sorry you felt attacked and I really do hope this works for you! P.S. Most of my reply wasn't directed towards you. If you gain or maintain at 1400+ calories a day, I would think the sleeve will help, I hope! Good luck!- Don't you just love the inequality?
There has been a pizza trend, huh?- Energy to work out..
I was afraid someone was gonna say to rest......haha!- Laughing problem
Bahaha.....awwww.....- Energy to work out..
So, I've been working out almost every day for 3 weeks now. The past 2 days I can't push my body to work out to my full momentum. Do I need more calories? My body feels physically tired. I push through but it's exhausting. What's going on?!?! Do y'all take or eat anything pre workout to help with energy?- Really bummed out right now...
Oh man, I am so sorry! With insurance mine would have been around the same price. Plus the 6 month requirements and still a chance of being denied! I couldn't take the heartbreak so I spent 5500 total to go to Mexico. If you're passionate enough you will find a way! After surgery my car got stolen after spending $500 on it to get repairs so I had to buy a new one. Then my other car broke down ....another $550! Then my gallbladder crapped out on me! I may be in debt but it was all worth it. I'm healthy, happy, and free of my weight burdens! It was so worth it. I hope you find a way! Good luck to you! You're in my thoughts and I'm sending positive vibes your way! - 12 week Transformation challenge for vets
