Just my luck...

My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, and "that time of the month" just started for me this afternoon. SIGH! I wasn't even due yet!

I hope everyone else is spared the extra stress. ;)

I had this same issue. Don't even give it a second thought! Just tell them at the hospital and they will give you those awesome gigantic pads :) pretty sure they deal with it all the time. FYI - don't freak out if you start bleeding MORE because of the blood thinner shots they will give you. It happened to me. Good luck!

I'm sorry.. it is a pain as in it is really irritating and one more thing to worry about..

But no worries.. I had mine.. on the day of the surgery! and it was really awkward.. I did not know whom to tell at the hospital..and was nervous if they were going to postpone my surgery.. so well.. I ended up telling everyone I met.. including the guy that transported me from the changing room to the waiting room before surgery.. I am sure he was laughing hard inside.. or did not have a clue what I was blabbering about.

The news spread like wildfire!!! after surgery.. in the recovery room.. I had to use the bathroom.. and the nurse said that I was not allowed to get up and will have to use a bed pan.. I protested.. and said.. I am having my periods.. I don't want you to see that! and she said with a grin.. "Oh honey... we know..!" made me wonder if i was spreading the news even under anesthesia.. My first ever surgery experience.. and was sure making waves..

Yup. My luck too. I started the morning of and it was extremely heavy!
