  1. I think I could be. I'm still not able to eat much so I'm just kinda stuck right now. But I'm not worried at all. I'm still in recovery mode.
  2. I haven't lost any in almost 2 weeks. I heard that's normal due to swelling and fluids. I'm ok with that. I know it will start coming off again. Wow...22 pounds in 18 days is amazing! I will weigh in a couple days and see if I lost any...
  3. He only had me on the pre op liquid diet for one week. I had lots of broth, Isopure Protein and Water. It was probably the hardest thing I had to do. I will never have chicken broth again! I was bad and cheated on my 4th day but got back on the wagon. The weight loss has been worth it. I went back to work and realized none of my work cloths don't fit anymore! I'm waiting for the swelling in my tummy to go down before I start shopping. Hang in there. I know how hard it is but there is a light at the end of this tunnel!
  4. Well...I don't regret the surgery but the first few weeks have been difficult. I know a lot of others who say it gets better and just to hang in there. As far as pain from the surgery....almost none at all...not even bad gas pains. I consider myself lucky for that. Didn't even need any of the pain meds they sent me home with. My stomach is still swollen and can't wait til it gets back to feeling normal. I have found that tomato Soup and sugar free pudding sit best in my tummy. As far as weight....when I started the class in October I was 236....one week after surgery on feb 25th I weighed in at 181 :-) At 5'3.5" I would love to get as low as 130. I haven't been back to the gym yet but should be going back soon. FYI...Dr. Irani is awesome! He really takes the time to explain things and makes you feel at ease....
  5. I seen my doc today and he told me my belly needs at least a month to heal and taking pills will be no problem.
  6. I'm beginning to feel very encouraged by all this info. Thank you all!!!
  7. I have an appointment with my surgeon tomorrow so I'm just going to have to let him know I have to swallow them. I was so desperate I told them I would go in daily for IV antibiotics and that says a lot for me since I hate needles!
  8. I was told my stool test pre op tested negative but my blood work pre op tested positive. Needless to say, the surgery was done before I even knew the results. I was given the 3 meds and was told to crush them and mix them with my soft foods. Well, I made several attempts with different foods and everything would just come right back up! I'm two weeks post op and just doing my best not to dehydrate. Has anyone had any luck just swallowing the pill whole? I feel I have no other alternative at this point. I'm very discouraged
