looking for friends who understand what im going through!
Ally. No harm meant at all. Laura and fyre keep things light and tease all the time and i was just joking around with laura since i talk to her frequently. If you will scroll up, you will see that jackie taked about her doc recommending a bypass. I did not notice that it was not from you, the op, so i responded like it was you. Then laura teased me about being a ditz. I wont post on your thread any more so there will be no more confusion. By the way.. None of us are 20 so maybe thats the problem. . And none of us are mean either. Best wishes!

...and you have now been introduced to our local jesters! Laura and fyre... There are more, but this is a good start for now!- looking for friends who understand what im going through!
Hi ally... I think you should thoroughly educate yourself about both of these procedures- not just the actual surgery, but how the help with weight loss and how they impact you in the long term. Then go back and have a discussion with your doctor asking why he is recommending bypass over the sleeve. You need to understand them both to be able to respond to his comments and to be able to express your reasons for wanting the sleeve. Make a list of questions and a list of reasons for the sleeve when you go. Take notes as you research and take notes again as he responds. Then you decide. You control what happens to your body!- looking for friends who understand what im going through!
We are all friends here regardles of age. This sleeve connects us. Youll appreciate comments from everyone im sure.- 6 months 91lbs

This the exact starter for the cauliflower pizza crust! It was good as well. The first time i tried it i did not read well and put the toppings on before i baked it. So bake it crispy first, then top it!- Stallssssss
Im a little over 9 weeks but am keeping my calories under 800 and carbs less than 50- (program recommendations) Most days i barely make 700-750 and carbs are about 35. Protein is about 100. My loss is pretty steady.. I lose two pounds, then one, next day one more, then three days of maintaining and rebalancing... Then i drop two etc..stairsteps. I didnt lose any until the third week after surgery. I dont plan to increase the amount of calories, carbs and fat im currently eating any time soon. Im a long way from goal so keeping it there for now. Will add some complex carbs to maintain once i hit goal which will up the calories. Ive lost about 30 lbs postop. I dont think ive seen many eating that many calories at only 3 months out. Im sure others will chime in. Good luck. Hang in there. Youll figure it out- Freaking out!

OP.. Please do NOT take ibuprofen until you speak to a doctor! Its an nsaid and most of us are not supposed to have them.- Physical limits after surgery
I pack an insulated lunch bag every morning with a couple of diff cheese sticks, a peeled boiled egg in a baggie, a rtd premier or mm shake and a yogurt. I boil eggs on the weekend and leave them in the shells in a bowl in the fridge. I log all this into mfp in the morning before i leave. I sometimes add a grape isopure to swig on the drive home. Its not hard if everything is ready to grab out, toss in and go! I have bits of this throughout the main part of the day and enjoy a nice dinner once home.- It's on for April 9th, Going all liquid today!
Welcome Bruce! Many of us just lurked for a bit before we posted. I learned everything i needed to know to help with this process before i had my surgery. It is beyond a doubt, the most exciting thing you will ever do for youself. Good luck with preop. It can be a b***h for some, but others seem to breeze right on through it. I think its all in the mindset.- Caffeine....coffee
- New to the site!
- My bum
What!!?? So those perky whiskers and those unwrinkled eyes werent a dead give away!? Lol.... I am young at heart and work with mostly much younger women and under 20 kids so have failed/refused to start wearing dark colors and say things like... When i was your age..... I did realize after i had posted my comment that few would remember a spam key... Theyre probably pull top now! Im happy to say i have not purchased the stuff for many years!- Creepy NSV
Thanks all! I think i was so focused on the big waist and fat face that the other things went unnoticed for awhile. The floppy shoes, collar bones, leg crossing ability, and rib cage existence just came on the radar! I wish all some great nsvs as well! This is such an amazing trip! Cant wipe the cat-**** grin off my face! - carbs in the morning?
