  1. So happy for you! Welcome to the losers bench! Isnt it exciting?!!!
  2. Laughed until i cried!
  3. I was a plate cleaner too. I still usually eat everything in my little bowl, but thats either 1/4 measured cup or 1 or 2 oz. i do frequently have to stop if i am having salmon. I suspect when i add beef and chicken the same will happen. So i guess my point is, cleaning your plate is fine if you dont over fill it to begin with.
  4. Celebrate its completion. It causes a tv programming change! Dont boooo me... Im not a bb fan!
  5. Ahhh. Two girls and a sleeve! Undoubtedly, you will live forever!
  6. Great success and great advice! Gratz!
  7. Oh well... The main thing with this process is to figure what works for you! Im in the east where theres a huge snow sorm today so i am off work and sitting around home sipping hot hot tea and watching the flakes fall! Have a super day!
  8. Down 23 since 1/30 with absolutely no problems! Easy surgery, smooth recovery with no gas, no indigestion and so far no problems with anything ive eaten! I am so frigging happy i walk around with a big grin all the time! I cannot wait until summer!
  9. Hold the phone... Not two k cups.. One but hit small 2 times! Double the water.
  10. I known your question was to bunny but thought id chime in... Hot tea was always a fave of mine but now my new stomach just loves the warmth. It really helps me keep my fluids high. I like green, white, oolong, chammomile and even straight hot water! I like it fairly weak so if using a kcup, i use two smalls which is 16 oz....requires a big mug. I like it with no sweetner. A tea bag in a regular coffe cp is just too strong and tends to make people want to add a sweetner.. Again, i head for those big mugs.
  11. ..and they are probably the ones who complain that people arent nice to them and make rude, harsh comments! Ugh...
  12. Yeah...those squishy plactic hospital pill cups were not good but i really like the 1 oz measuring shot glasses best ...available at walmart or bed bath & beyond. I used them a week or so then moved to a water bottle, glass or cup for tea. I did not drinl soda so never was hooked on a straw so its easy to avoid them. I took no chances with a straw since doc said no.
  13. You look absolutely fantastic! Gratz on you wonderful success!
  14. Im 60. Had friends take me to hospital and then give me a ride home 1.5 days later. They carried my bag upstairs, picked up my dog from boarding and brought him home, hugged me and left -all at my request. I just do better on my own because i tend to cater to guests and would have done too much trying to make sure they were comfortable. I sincerely needed no help. I changed into pjs and a big warm robe and had a cup of tea! Ahhhhhhh... Peace and quiet. My house was clean, i had cleared out EVERY bit of food and drinks that i did not want to have in the house and had made sure anything i would need for the next few days was lined up and ready. I felt great and started outdoors walks the next day. Good luck.
  15. Best wishes to all of you today! Keep us posted!
  16. Wow! You look fantastic! Ive seen you mention some online games..along with your name, so thought you might find this interesting...I bit the bullet and stopped playing World of Warcraft when i began this process. I decided i needed to use that time to make myself move my butt more. ...was really hard and i still have "hunger pains" for it, but think it was a healthy move for me. Life was way to focused/planned around a guild run! Your progress is so very inspirational! Thanks for showing us!
  17. No sharts, no gas issues neither cavity or inside tummy, very little to no pain, did have to do 12 days of shots but they are truly nothing. You must manage bowel movements...do not let it go more than a day or two before taking action. Hospital gown does not come off until you are asleep and its back before you wake up. Most of this surgery, in my humble opinion, is all about figuring out what you CAN do.. Can i sneeze without being afraid i will hurt my incision? Can i roll onto my side with no pain? How much can i drink without stretching myunhaled incision too far? Can i wear these jeans for two hours while i run to town? Etc etc.... Just like you, I liked knowing about anything that could possibly happen so that i would know what to do about it. I was one of the lucky ones that breezed through the surgery. Hope you do too!
  18. Im with crocon. Try to change the way you are reacting. This is not a "huge setback.". It could very well be time you really need ...a time to adjust your mindset for success, your habits, and a time to wrap up some of the other requirements for surgery...if you have them. It took me a cople of rounds with every test because i ended up with follow-up from each one. Just decide that whatever they throw at you, you will not let it stop you from acquiring your final goal. There is some old saying that is relevant... Its not what happens to you thats important. Its your reaction that counts!
