http://www.baylorhealth.com/PhysiciansLocations/Plano/SpecialtiesServices/WeightManagementSurgery/Pages/SupportGroup.aspx That's the information I just found. I've been looking for something close by and it looks like they allow patients from other areas to attend. I get sleeved on Friday. The meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of every month. Good luck. Hope this helps- Pre-op woot woot.
You will be great! It gets easier each day of pre-op. Good luck on your journey.- 6 months out!
Wow! That's a huge drop in 6 months! Go you! Any secrets toy your success? Way to "rock your sleeve,"- While in Mexico
Also, check with the hotel...most have safes that you can use. Either in your room for a fee or at the desk. I've used both and have NEVER had a problem.- Starting preop diet
Mine is pretty simple, also. I'm currently on day 5 of preop: I have 2 Protein shakes per day and a salad w/4 oz of a lean protein. I usually eat my salad for lunch or dinner. I use shrimp, chicken, I even made it a taco salad-ish with no tacos. Just seasoned up lean ground turkey. If I'm hungry, I can have another protein shake. Lots of Water. I start all liquids on day 7. I stay under 1000 calories. supposed to be under 1200. My dr considers me a low BMI, so mine doesn't seem as strict as others.- MiDoctor Hospital (any surgeon!) 2013 Roll Call!

To begin with, I will say I mix mine Water. I mix none with milk and I know that alters the flavor. Just some thing to keep in mind. Cappuccino. I like it. Mild coffee flavor, not heavy at all. Almost like a weak - flavored coffee candy chocolate truffle - it's ok. vanilla bean torte - it's ok. Tolerable Cookies and cream - took awhile to drink. I'd be ok if I never had it again but didn't make me vomit. Probably Tate's better with milk. Lemon tea (can't remember the exact name) - was actually ok with it. Change of pace. strawberry - ok. Sure it's better with milk Apple ecstasy - could not tolerate it all. Bleh Fuzzy navel - nope. Not ever drinking it again Caribbean cooler - yuck. I've pretty much had them all, I just can't think of them right now, lol. When I do, I'll come back and edit.- Looking for inspiration while i heal my leak! Photos?
Oh goodness, I am sending nothing but the best wishes as you heal. I'm so sorry you're going through every bit of this, it sucks. Keeping you in my thoughts,- Starting preop diet
Hi there! I am on Day 5 of pre-op. by day 3&4, it gets sooo much easier. Days 1&2 were the toughest and those were the days I stayed the busiest. Keep the mind busy! You can do it, today was the easiest day yet! Good luck to us on our journey.- Is peanut butter ok during full liquids stage?
If adding to shakes, no you don't. It mixes beautifully! Lol- Paying a diductible before surgery ?
That's great news! Very happy for you! Glad he's supporting you and telling you to do something for you.- Paying a diductible before surgery ?
- Paying a diductible before surgery ?
I completely understand why they do require their fees up front. I have a client that states on a repeated basis she did not pay her surgeon. It completely floors me because I couldn't imagine "stiffing" someone. I'm not stating they do not get paid enough, only that she made a conscious decision and never had any intention of paying her surgeon her part. Ever. She stated she would not (before her surgery) and stands by that decision. That's crazy to me. The downside? Because it was an elective surgery he can actually prosecute and he is taking her to court to get his money. Will he get his money? i dont know. Only that it is now on her credit report and it does count against her, even though it is medical, because of the elective and not medically necessary. But....she looks good!- DAY ONE PRE OP AND ALREADY STRUGGLING!
