  1. Oopsie- sorry. I meant to say I am a paramedic. We intubate people almost every shift and there is no way you could be awake because you would still have your gag reflex and that would prohibit the placement of the tube. I would confirm that you will at LEAST be sedated. Best wishes! You will do awesome!
  2. I'm a paramedic and as someone who incubates people in the field
  3. That looks and sounds amazing!!!
  4. I can drink a glass of 3/4 Water and 1/4 of diet cranberry or diet cran grape. Diet snapple green tea is nice and I brew up decaf tea and pour it over crushed ice with a half pack of Splenda. When I need a " citrus" fix I make the sunrise orange crystal light and let it get to slushy point in the freezer.

  6. I usually put a little bit of sugar free dry pudding mix in mine. Then put it in the blender with crushed ice and Water and Protein shake mix . This was recommended by my Nut and my surgeon. The cheesecake is the bomb!
  7. Kinda off subject... But are we allowed to have V8 juice? I'm traveling And ran out of drinks and I'm sorta hungry. Can I have a V8 from the gas station? I'm 10 weeks out.. Sleeve of steel and oked for 1/2 cup veggies a day. Thoughts
  8. I agree!! Buy meat in bulk-cook it very plainly and then freeze. When you reheat you can doctor it up with spices or sauces. Shrimp and scallops are my go to foods. I buy big bags at Costco
  9. Maybe try walking a block then jogging a block. You gotta keep the body guessing
  10. I went to Buffalo Wild Wings and bought some of their sauces. Now I buy a rotisserie chicken and I make little 4oz meals with a teaspoon of whatever sauce tickles my fancy!! Moist and delicious

  16. I'm a firefighter/paramedic which is a pretty physical job. I usually taken in between 400-800 calories ( depending on what kinds of activity we have during the day). I have never had a problem with lightheadedness. I'm constantly drinking water or water with a touch of diet cranberry juice. I'm 8 weeks post op.
