  2. i would not worry so much. i was only on pre-op diet 3 days before surgery, in fact i was to have my surgery the day after i arrived, they decided to do it the day i arrived, so i had not even fasted before surgery. just get better and don,t worry.
  3. i had a stall and i just went back to just clear fluids for a day, and then i started loosing again........weird
  4. i was also having that problem, i,m 17 days post and have lost 45 pounds, i started just putting my 3 scoops of protein in one shake, which gave me my protein for the day. i would drink half of the shake in the morning, and half later on. it works well for me. you need that protein to help you heal. hope this helps
  5. i read on here how some people have refried beans, are they not gasy? if not, how soon could you have them, and what is a good way to have them............thank you saddie
  6. try placidway, i had dr sariana do mine, was very happy. he is out of mexicali and no sending you to a hotel for recovery. hospital was spotless and staff very kind. you get your own private room with a couch for your companion.
  7. my day started yesterday with 2 of my incisions sore. when i had removed the tape on them last week alot of watery fluid came pouring out. i,m 14 days post op. i went to the ER and the doctor there removed my stitches and checked for further infection,he said he thinks most of it came out, but if i run a temp to come back. i got home from the hospital, i was starving. my dr said i could do mash potato,s and carrots now, so i cooked some up, well i guess my eyes were bigger then my stomach, ate too much. you know not really, but for how we have to eat now i did. i have been in such pain all day now. i guess i will just do fluids for a couple of days now till my stomach settles. lesson learnt...........ouchy
  8. be very careful what meds you crush. time release meds cannot be crush, it will cause a shock to your system. i swallowed hole pills,an big ones from day1 after surgery
  9. actually i just bought some today. the custard is really good. not tried the meat or veggies yet. my friend she used it when she was sleeved, it worked well fo her, just keep away from gas producing veggies, like asparugus,corn etc
  10. i used pumpkin spice or cinnamon or low calorie powder cappichino

  12. i drank 3 ensure with a scoop of protein in them a day, popsicles, jello and at nite had a cup of noodles. i lost 23 pounds in 2 weeks doing that
  13. this is what my dr said about caffeine........caffeine can irritate the lining of the stomach and may increase your risk of ulcers after surgery
  14. on my way home i met another sleever, her dr told her to wear those stockings.they put on you for the surgery.i was flying close to 5 hours, i had no problems, but i also am on blood thinners. i just kept moving my legs and ankles
  15. i had the same thing too, glad i took my tape of as one of my incisions is infected. i don,t get my stiches out till next thursday. dr said leave them in 15 days
  16. for sure ask him for his report, and have it in hand before you leave, ask for food guide. isom dr there will give you a cd of the surgery.
  17. i would check with your car insurance company, as if you got in a accident, you may not be covered
  18. you poor girl, its bad enough dealing with the surgery coming, then having to deal with him. i really hope you loose alot and loose him too for not supporting you. you deserve much better.

  22. i,m just out of clear fluid stage into fluid stage, my problem is i have alwas hated soup, can,t even stand the smell of it. does anyone have any suggestions. i,m so craving something hot to eat, getting sick of all cold things. i guess what i,m saying is i,m craving a meal taste, if that makes any sense..................thank you.............saddie
  23. do those shakes have whey in them, i can,t do whey, i must do soy
