  1. WTH.. who is she..I'll beat 'er ass I gotcher back girlfriend.. Let me at 'er
  2. Yes.. Stress and emotions can make a difference. Same thing happened with the band as it does with my sleeve. And so sorry for you dog.. And you.
  3. Oh how sad.. So sorry to hear this and I agree with Puja, you have to take care of you. Prayers to your friend and you.
  4. Yep.. Everyone pain is different and docs close the incision differently also. I had glue, a drain that was removed on second day.. As said before it was the weirdest strangest feeling. I was lucky and had no issues and was up a couple hours after surgery. Never stopped going since! I've had several bariatric surgeries and only had bad gas in my shoulders on one of them. I've had 3 ten lb babies and laparoscopic surgery is a piece of cake in comparison
  5. Yep.. Can't beat the pacific northwest, here we can get 4 seasons in one weekend BEAUTIFUL .. Wherever we look!
  6. Welcome to the losers bench. Hope your recovery is quick
  7. You have a good mind set and that's half the battle. Have a great time and enjoy your new ways.
  8. You're awesome.. Welcome to he journey to a healthy new both of you!
  9. Not sure if I was technically a revision because I had to wait 18 month for my stomach to heal from the damage the band did. (read my story in profile for more) There wasn't a dr who would touch me. Dr Ponce sleeved me... Wonderful amazing doc and staff.
  10. My surgeon is Dr Ponce and there are a lot of others here who agree he is the best. Of course.. Most all surgeon in MX are with only one exception which I will only pm if someone asks Trish is Dr Ponce's Cordinator and you won't find someone more caring then her. She is by far the best Cordinator and trust me I've dealt with more than my share(close to 10) Whoever you chose, be sure to talk to several actual patients before you decide .. It's your life.
  11. WALK WALK WALK.. It's the only way to get rid of the gas. Your chest pains could also be that your intake is being consumed too rapidly or too much. Even if you think you're just sipping, that may be too fast at this time for you. You're still swollen from surgery so you need to adjust things until ou figure things out.
  12. You have to feed your body enough calories or it will think youre starving and then hold on to all the weight it can. It's storing. Adjust your intake
  13. I don't drink carbonated sugar/diet drinks. Not because of docs oders just because I know there's no benefit to me to do so. Post surgery it's important to make sure you supply your body with the necessary nutrients and fluids to stay healthy .. I can't be wasting the little I can manage to get in with unless things. (I'm also a firm believer that carbonation robs the skin of hydration)
  14. YOU ARE SOOO AWESOME! Congrats.. I bet you are so happy and proud!
  15. You are so smart NOT to be banded again. Your docs were correct.. And glad you listened to them. OMG.. You reminded me of the night coughs.. Those were awful! I used to cough up black blood! Some times I was so tired I would wake up to blood all over myself because I didn't wake up. Ok anyway .. So happy you get to be sleeved.
  16. I had leak test while still in surgery and then pre-discharge w/CT. Also had drain to monitor for excessive bleeding and to watch for any leak test dye.
  17. I make bread and butter pickles and don't peel them. I make every pickled concoction I can think of and peeling the cucumber means removing the portion of most nutrients Ok.. Sorry OP.. I'm done hijacking your thread lol.. Promise
  18. I wonder if the insurance companies are thinking the cost of lapband complications are too high compared to sleeve. Heh.. I over ate once and learned my lesson, it was awful. I guess we have o learn lessons the hard way
  19. Sheesh.. That's should be PICKLERS.. stupid auto correct! I swear I don't consider myself a pickle
  20. But WTH is a skinless pickle.. Seriously.. It's just absurd to think of this concept of pickle abomination. It's just wrong to us seriously pickles
  21. Skinless pickle? Why would anyone pickle peeled cucumbers? It would become mush! After the pickling process (with peeling)... it's all the same texture anyway.. Totally weird! Anyway... Get back on your docs suggested foods and live up to your name
  22. Awesome! Good for you!
  23. Pfft.. There ain't enough butter of any kind that's going to help my sorry ass!
