  1. LOL.. The drving is crazy! My daughter is a NASCAR driver and she says it's safer on the track then in MX. But the area is safe from violence... We're going back next fall, love it!
  2. Well.. Sweet dreams and prayers for a speedy recovery. Oh..and WALK WALK WALK as soon as you can
  3. She will call or email all your pre-op info in plenty of time to get you prepared. My vitamins consist of chewable gummy multi and calcium and daily B 12 shots I get through my PCP
  4. Oh.. And you forgot hair loss and bougie size
  5. Lol.. You reminded me of when I had a question my dad always told me to go look it up in the encyclopedia or dictionary. I'm a teacher and I'm always saying... Google is your friend! LOL.. you crack me up
  6. Why are you having surgery in the middle of the night...lol
  7. Wow.. Really can tell the difference, already.. Nice job, girl! Be proud
  8. So glad they found something they can keep on top of. Rest while your there and prayers you way. Btw.. You look mighty chipper for being stuck in the hospital..or did they send you home to wait til am?
  9. Most all of us that had it done in MX brought a DVD home of our own procedure being done.. As well as a image of the stomach they removed to show us the size... Soooo cool!
  10. My drain incision was a gaping hole and it looked like it needed t least a butterfly strip, but I just let it heal and it's great.
  11. If you're not having any issues with your band then it should be able be done in one surgery with out unfilling prior. If you've ever had issues of any kind you may need two so that any damage can repair itself first.
  12. Well, that sucks! Maybe if she just takes a break we can encourage her back. UGH!
  13. GRRR.. Gay guys! They're always so hot! What a waste
  14. Oh no... Sorry to here this Hopefully, whatever the issue is gets taken care of. Prayers to you and keep us posted
  15. Do they stand behind this company? Anyway, I googled them and it goes both ways. Some say they're good and some say never use them. Hopefully someone here can help out more than me
  16. Via LilMissDiva The BASICS BOOTCAMP: For 5 STRICT DAYS I will eat only... Proteins: Seafoods, Poultry and eggs, Dairies, nuts/seeds including Peanut Butter. Veggies: Green only. Fruits: None. Breads/Cereals/Other Carbs: None. Fluids: One gallon of Water (128 oz.) Protein drinks (RTD or Powder). Avoid: Sugar and Sodium Once the 5 days are over, I am pretty much over the Sugar Carb Demon. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate carbs! I do need them to live a healthy life and since I workout a lot it is important I have them. However, I need GOOD carbs. Whole grains, fruits, veggies... But I don't need processed sugars. White carbs, in cereals, breads, rice... etc. Lots will do the 5 day pouch test. http://www.5daypouchtest.com/ Great! To each their own. I personally do not do this. My first reason is because I don't have a pouch. I have a sleeve. The second reason is because for me, this has proven nothing but torture for me. I don't feel like I should have to do that. My personal program works just as good without that side effect. The only reasons I've ever done liquids only is simply from being threatened with my life (post op) or if I'm just feeling sick and to let my Sleevie rest. That's it. Good luck everyone! This journey is tough, but nothing worth doing is ever easy. Xoxo
  17. Would stick with the financing companies your dr uses. They usually have a list of reliable financing companies. My daughters used med choice and although they are a bit more than going to your own bank they're fairly easy to work with.
  18. Unless they preform some surgery that no longer permits a person to eat there will always be failures. WLS is a tool not the cure for obesity. If you allow yourself to over eat or eat unhealthy you will gain weight. As for Wilson.. The laband band is very easy to eat right through. It allows you to eat all the bad food while restricting healthy foods. It's useless in most cases. Still, nothing is going to work if you fail to have the right mindset.
  19. LOL.. Love your pictures (classy toilet one too) Good job.. We are almost the same with loss but I'm no longer shaped quite as young as you
  20. My daughters went through medchoice for their lapbands. Vey easy, but I thought it was a bit higher than going through just a credit card. Easier to get by far though
  21. Aww. I love babies... especially when someone else is having them Just think, after the birth, how quickly you will lose once you can do the boot camp for a few days and get back on the journey.
  22. Sheesh.. I leave for the day and never guessed this would go so far! I'm very guilty of hijacking threads. ESPECIALLY..when the OP's question has been adequately answered.. A gazillion times.
  23. Sweet dreams and see you on the other side :-)
  24. I'm 3+ months out and once you start enoughing solid protein is when you really feel it. I can only eat an ounce or two of meat and other solid things. Fluids I've always beeen pretty unlimited with? It will change over time or you
