  1. Ooooh that's right she did! Them dang Znew Z-landers despise fatties! Could be she lives in a different bubblehood though
  2. I'm self pay and my insurance pays for my labs and any after care. My PCP is great that way though. As long as your PCP never makes a reference regarding your wls then your insurance should pay. But normally th PCP has to note the reason for the labs. My PCP asks me specific questions that will lead me to answer in ways that labs are called for. I pay $700 a month in insurance premiums ( plus employers pays in addition to that) with an exclusion for ANY wls ..even complications. So, my PCP knows my situation and works it out for me.
  3. Congrats! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
  4. Now, I'm craving crabs! Gotta get me some!
  5. U It's not "discrimation", but there's always an ******* around, REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU LIVE, that has a negative opinion about something. Not everyone says it to your face and perhaps you're just not aware of those talking crap behind your back. Chances are pretty good it happens.. Even in the uphoria you seem to live. OP.. Kudos to you for working your life for the better. Prayers and thoughts to you and your family. God bless!
  6. Good question. I look back through my family photo album and all the times I thought myself fat... I wasn't. Why was I never happy? This time is going to be different. I already know it. The difference this time is my goal isn't just to get thinner, but to get healthy. That mind set right there has given me a new look at myself. I'm not at my goal weight , but ever since I started.. Yes, my "journey" (Hush, you nay sayers ) anyway.. Being healthy thin puts a whole new aspect to what I see in the mirror.
  7. I said heck with it and gained 86 pounds.. YIKES! LOL ... be careful
  8. You need to update your ticker.. I didn't even notice the amazing job you've done
  9. "The scale is NOT making me its b*tch I made it my b*tch!!!!" That's my fav.. Thanks for making my day!
  10. Nope not at all.. lol, I'm guessing mine did though I was just saying that I think there lots that haven't struggle long and the outcome is probably comparable. Wait.. Maybe I didn't say that, huh? Ignore me and carry on, lol
  11. LOL.. That's what I tout of when I bumped, but my lamepad refuses to let me pst images so.. It makes me a very dull poster Bwahahaha .. I tried posting this comment before and my iPad froze on me. Apparently, it's a little sensitive to my snarcasm
  12. A struggle is a struggle regardless of when you're struggling Not all of us were over weight or obese as children or even as young adults, but before surgery we were all unhealthy and not happy with it. It's a struggle we don't want to have the rest of our lives.
  13. Concentrate on your water and just sip. Ifother things are painful then you need to wait longer for your swelling to lessen and then you can try again. Main concern is water. Stay hydrated... Whatever it takes.. Drink your water Good luck
  14. Congrats Julie and glad your recovery is going smoothly. And, Welcome!
  15. To be honest with you and it might be my lack of knowledge, but I have a terrible time noticing posts if theyre more than several hours old. So, if I'm swamped at work or gone for the day I miss a gabillion and don't know it. It's not because people aren't interested.. It's mostly due to the fact tht not everyone sees it.
  16. I have one question. How old is your brother? My daughter is single (What.. Not the type of question you were expecting?)
  17. I've had 6 wls and the sleeve is the only time I've lost hair. It happens. We all deal with hair loss differently so I don't have any answers for you. Yes, my hair is VERY important to me, but.... I'd rather walk around in a hat than walk around fat! Or worse.. Die from being fat? I cant imagine how pissed and hurt my family would be that I didn't even try to help myself Now that I'm healthy and my hair isn't failing out as much.. I walk with pride and self confidence I never knew existed Sometime in life you have to set priorities
  18. Just thinking. It would take me 2 weeks to eat it. I may start with a reg patty and make it the size of a mini personal pizza. Now I'm hungry
  19. Awesome yummy idea .. Thanks!
  20. I'd only get some if it's sold in vats.. I'd need a few for my sorry looking' self;)
