  1. Sooo true! Carbs should be on the forbidden law books and illegal in our country. Of course, just like a coke addict we'd find us some carbs in a dark ally if needed
  2. From the looks of it I'm going to be needing a Circumferential Body Lift from the toes up. You guys are fortunate to get what you need so just know any pain and burden is probably worth it
  3. It's normal because your body has started going into starvation mode and is hanging on to anything it canon clouding fat. You have to keep consuming protein and sufficient amount of calories in order to lose the fat.
  4. Because of such severe damage I had to wait 18 months and gain over 80 pounds. Hated myself.. but look at me now.. it all worked out and I'm alive and so healthy
  5. I missed this post and by the time I read through it all I can only remember the breast feeding comment. Hell yeah there's always the do goodies who think their crap don't stink. They're always on their high and mighty horse preaching about what's best for children who aren't even theirs. Well, unless they're standing in your shoes or unless you ask .. they should just keep them pretty lips sealed. PERIOD Now, as for the need to compete? Simple. Self satisfaction.
  6. So true. Its hard. We need to brainstorm ideas
  7. Technically, they didn't gear it towards women only, but women just happen to wear under clothing where the app needs to be. Personally, I think a shock type collar with an invisable fence around the kitchen would work better
  8. Just a note. Please dont think I don't like your comments.. I seem to be very limited at what I can do from my phone app.
  9. All I can say is I'm so sorry for all the sad and trying times y'all had/are experiencing. I'm on the other end of the issue and would give anything have my mom with me again. Dang.. now I don't know what else to say. Maybe.. hang in there?
  10. Have you been taking your PPI he sent home with you? Also, you sound like you're talking more about head hunger than actual hunger. The sleeve doesn't help head hunger.. Just reality hunger. Work at identifying the difference and drink lots of fluids.

For some reason surgery seems to bring out the periods in all of us. I hadnt had mine for over a year and then I did. A lot of girls have experienced this. Welcome
  12. There is a higher rate of complications and difficult recovery when a revision is done in one surgery IF there is a history of band complications with the patient.
  13. Im really sorry for all you're going through. I agree that you need to get another opinion. You should not be experiencing this many issues. Obviously, something is wrong and needs to be fixed. As for your husband. . Well, sometimes guys can be weird when they have no clue how to help. Dont worry about him right now.. you have enough on your own plate and if needed you can handle him later. Get the second opinion it very important. Not all drs are able to admit when theyre clueless. This your life.. youre only life. It's important
  14. Yes its normal. I gulped from the very beginning without any issues
  15. OMG.. You're married to my husband! My husband, too, isn't being cruel when he says " all you have to do is stop eating" I swear, if he says that again I'm going to smack his skinny ass into yesteryear and not even google will be able to find him! I have to admit that after reading this thread I have had a pampered life.. The true, Leave it to Beaver life.. I have been blessed. Of course, I've had issues and ups & downs, but nothing compared to some of the stories here. I am so heartfelt touched that we all can be here for one another for more than just our sleeve journey, but for life's journey, too. A lot of people say online friendships aren't real, but I disagree. Just like old fashion pen pals can become life long friends.. Online friends can, too.
  16. I refer to slider foods as anything I can eat a lot of. Like popcorn. I can eat it nonstop and never get full. I can only eat a bit of ice cream before I'm full. So slider foods tend to vary with people. A rule of thumb is if you can eat a lot stay away from it.
  17. You may not experience the hunger like you used too.. But you will eventually have hunger return. You cn also learn to deal with this hunger in better ways then prior to surgery. The sleeve is a wonderful tool if used right.
  18. This "not feel hunger" is only temporary and will return. It's not a cure. During the time you don't feel hunger is the time you need to retch yourself better eating habits and lifestyle changes. Don't be fooled into thinking this surgery fixes all your weight issues Op.. All surgeons are different. Some surgeons want their patients to become aware of the changes they will need to make after surgery by having them begin to stop the bad habits early. It's a good idea. Some surgeons feel the pt needs to lose some prior. Etc. It doesn't make one dr better than another.. Just different
  19. Y'all... Just know, EVERYONE fits in this group. We are the true motley crew.
  20. I had to wait 18 months before any surgeon would even think about doing my sleeve after band removal. The band does a lot of damage and it's difficult to heal.
  21. Im with jane. Forget the race and concentrate on the goal. Time gives you the ability to organize your priorties and learn the new lifestyle its going to take to succeed
  22. Ok.. read through this thread n want to respond, but I just got home from Vacaaation n I now need a vacation from vacation. Back tomorrow zzzzzzz
  23. I too have thighs from hell. I u derating how you feel.. totally! But wait until you hit goal so the surgeon knows what to work with. I may have my outer thighs done but I'm waiting until I maintain a steady weight
  24. Only time I've gained weight is when I stopped eating enough calories and my body started hoarding
