Gulping Liquids

At first even the smallest sip of water would huuuurrrttt....but 3 wks out I find myself mindlessly gulping.....I guess its a good thing the horrible pain is gone....IS this normal? Y do they tell us not to gulp?

Yes its normal. I gulped from the very beginning without any issues

They don't want gulping because it can trap air in the stomach when you swallow.

Trapped air can cause gas pain.
