Congrats on your NSV's! You have done great and there's a ton more to come. It sadens me that your boyfriend is so insecure and scared that he can't compliment you to give you the support you deserve! He's acting like a boy' date=' not a man.....It's time to sit him down and have a talk with him about his nonsupportive behavior....This is the time to let that confident woman out and ask for what you need from him, if he can't give it to you, then maybe it's time to reconsider your future with him bc it will just get worst....... Smile you are so beautiful and deserving of nothing but love from all the people around you..... [/quote']Thank you so much Ms. Skinniness. He just informed me that he is moving out. Guess I am not enough (overweight) woman for him. HA!

Sleeved 2/19, down 32lbs. Yesterday, I stood and looked at myself in the mirror and I cried. I cried because I can see the contours of cheek bones. I cried because I have one roll and not two stomach rolls. I cried because I have a range of clothes in my closet from 22-14 and the 18's are almost too big. I didn't even try 16 yet. I cried because I am worth it and to have a boyfriend who doesn't compliment me because he is scared of losing the fat woman has given me confidence.

It hurts to swallow? That's not good.

I had surgery on the 19th and with pre-op, I have lost 31-32lbs. You are able to eat bananas? I can't eat more than two bites of anything.

Two weeks post op. Doctor switched me to soft mushy foods and fluids no problem. Mushy food...oh my tightness after 2 bites.

I'd you have Sonic where you live....I love getting a sf cherry ice! I can eat on it for nearly an hour!
Mastiff_mama,

I have TMJ. No gum. I am not suppose to chew ice but for me....its better than gum.

I didn't think about ice. Thanks for the tip. Yea, its not the food I miss. Its chewing. Thank you again.

8 days post op and I am not hungry but I realize I am losing my mind because I miss chewing. I don't miss food but chewing. Last night and a couple of other nights....I have taken bites of the dinner I made for my family and chewed until it was complete mush and went to the trash car and spit it out. Then I rinsed my mouth and brushed my teeth. I felt so much better. I didn't miss the food. I missed the actual chewing. Yes, it is consuming a few calories but I will take it for my sanity. Cheers

Many probably disagree with this but I found I am not really wanting to swallow the food....so...I take a bite...chew and chew and then I spit it out in the trash. I know many will disagree but it help me at first and now I am fine.

I feel deprived. But I have found so many ways to cope with head hunger.

So much good information on this post! Thank-You sleevers. I will be following you!ps my doctor gave me Capsules to swallow= multi vits..... wonder how I am supposed to swallow that 1st week post- op?
I find that capsules get stuck but I try to use mind over matter to force it down with Water. And then I try to tell myself that its not really stuck in my esophagus, its in my imagination. After a couple sips of Water and not thinking about it....I feel fine. Good luck.

Had surgery on February 19th. I feel great but I think I am having restriction issue. I can keep everything down with no problem. I feel like I am waiting for something to happen. Is this normal?

Sounds like gas. Not an expert or nor do I claim to be one but it sounds like gas. Have you tried Gas X?

If you are eating Protein Bars, its the bars. I was absolutely miserable until I stopped the bars. Good luck
