  1. What I have noticed is my period is longer & heavier than usual & right before I'm due, my stomach is very sensitive & heartburny.
  2. Prayers & positive thoughts coming your way.. Get well very soon.
  3. I am 6 weeks postop & I was getting extremely nauseous after taking the multi after breakfast. My NUT told me to take it right before bed & it's worked perfectly...hope you find a balance and feel better soon.
  4. Cool names! We are a creative bunch..
  5. I know that some people have "named" their sleeve. Mine is Sleevie Nicks!
  6. YUM - they all sound great! Thanks so much...knew I could count on you all.....
  7. Thanks! Sounds awesome. I am now on the hunt for gasoline....we got really slammed, but my heart goes out to all who lost everything...Please keep us in your thoughts...
  8. Hey guys - wondering if anyone has had hot chocolate (will use skim plus of course). Getting chilly here in NY & was dreaming of something nice & warm. Don't know how the sleeve will like it. Anyone try it yet? Was sleeved on 9/17..thanks!
  9. So sorry you're dealing with this on top of worrying about surgery. Now this is my own opinion but it seems he's saying these things because he's insecure & wondering if after you lose all the weight YOU will leave him. He just might've been comfortable with how you looked because he knew where he stood with you. I'm married 30 years & every so often in a "joking" way my hubby will say something like - oh now that you're losing all this weight you're gonna want to look for a stud" and I tell him - of course I will! Lol- we both know we're just kidding (we've been together since we were kids! But he says it alot so I think there's a little something there. Good luck to you & take care of YOU so you can be healthy enough for your beautiful children. Keep us posted....
  10. From Franklin Square Long Island. I picked Dr. Dakin from NY Presbyterian & couldn't be happier. Sleeved 9/17. No complications at all. Down 37 pounds. Bariatric floor looked like hotel suites.
  11. I went to NY Presbyterian & had the best experience there... I guess wherever YOU feel comfortable..best of luck! It's sooo worth it!
  12. You're still newly sleeved. I was able to resume taking whole meds after a month. I used to take all of my meds & vitamins all at once pre-sleeved, but that is in the past! Lol. I do have to look for smaller fish oil pills since mine are gigantic. Tried it once but didn't like how it went down. Good luck!
  13. I am in awe of all you've been through! Thank God you're ok now. Wow. You have an amazing strong will. Good for you ...
  14. The day after surgery I was barfing all day. Think it was the pain meds on an empty stomach & possibly some after effects of the anesthesia. That passed and since I'm sleeved (little over 5 weeks out) I've only vomited twice & that was my own fault with eating something dry & fast & not chewing small bites...
  15. Wow! I hope all of you get well real soon. That pain sounds just awful....At my month post- op appointment, they put me on gallbladder meds (standard procedure for patients at my hospital) for 6 months to avoid problems... Hope it works!
  16. I only had 2 shots a day in the shoulder for the 3 days I was in the hospital...Good luck on your journey & welcome to the club!
  17. Thanks proudgranny...the little burps I can deal with, it's the constant churning a & rumblings from first bite to last...
  18. It doesn't hurt & it only happens when I eat or drink. I thought by now it would start to ease up, but its not. Also think that the PPI might be making it worse or I need another one...
  19. I'm 5 weeks post op & whenever I eat from start to finish, my stomach begins rumbling & there's a lot of burping. I'm already taking a prescribed PPI. Do I need another one?? Btw, I eat slow & take little bites...any help would be greatly appreciated!
  20. Have you had the sleeve or planning to? I totally get where your coming from. We've all been through all the emotions you feel. Before I was sleeved (wish I did it sooner) I would be do upset over my weight gains & the only thing that made me better was eating a whole pizza pie or tons of pasta! It made no sense. I hope you start to feel better & you can rant all you want on here. We all understand!
  21. I'm also having the same problem because I too had IBS. And, my protein shake is lactose-free. I'm not minding though because with this new diet I'm not going as much as I should, so it's helping in that area....
  22. I was on meats after 3. I guess some days are better than others. I have to remember that we're healing....
