  1. Got my period 2nd day in hospital postop. Since I don't have "bad" periods it was fine. Now I can really keep track of my cycle cause I'll never forget the date!
  2. I definitely shocked myself. You have no idea what a chocolate & carb fiend I was before surgery...& now - nada! Pretty cool. Thanks guys. Just had to share.
  3. In 7 days I'll be 3 months out from surgery...58 pounds down & loving it...I work in advertising & we get lots of gifts this time of year from clients. The reason I'm posting is pre-surgery I was an avid chocoholic! Right next to me on my desk is a gigantic "dark chocolate pizza" that I would've demolished. It's doing NOTHING for me now. YAY.....love this feeling.....
  4. Yes I've been taking a multi & also calcium citrate along with vitamin D3 since surgery, but I guess whatever's in the multi for B12 wasn't enough. Everything else was perfect except that. Just very surprised that's all. When I told him how good I felt he said with levels that low, I would eventually start to feel bad. Glad we caught it early. Thanks guys!
  5. Had my 3 month bloods drawn this past weekend. Let me first say since sleeved on 9/17 I've never had a weak day. Have felt great. Lots if energy. Doctor just called & said my B-12 levels were extremely low & I have to come in for shots once a month & also take supplements. Freaking.
  6. 2nd day in the hospital all I did was vomit. 3rd day it all subsided.. It will get better!
  7. Wishing you all the best! Good luck & please keep us updated....
  8. Congrats!!! I felt the same way. Sleeved 9/17. Best thing I ever did. Down 53 pounds....good luck!!
  9. Do you think taking Fiber Gummies expand the belly in any way? I just started them this week & they work (if you get my drift)..I would hate to give them up if they're not good for the sleeve
  10. Thanks so much guys! I was freaked for a minute..z
  11. Thanks! The bm's are not every day, so I've been adding fiber gummies to try to regulate a bit. Who knows! I'll wait it out & see what happens.
  12. Don't worry you'll be fine. I got my period day of surgery, so that was real fun! Good luck. Best thing I ever did...will be thinking of you. Please let us know how everything goes...
  13. Sleeved 9/17 & have had successful weight losses. Almost 50 pounds. I'm not scale obsessed at all, but just went on & gained 1.5 pounds...not doing anything different...help! Is this normal??
  14. Good for you & welcome! Don't worry, it gets better each week.
  15. Pre sleeve I was a carb addict. Pasta, pizza, hero sandwiches...ham,egg & cheese with butter in massive bagel.,I are like a football player! NEVER thought I could give this up...Post sleeve - it never crosses my mind. I love the smell, but that's it. I'd rather eat my tuna with balsamic dressing. (Was such a mayo Freak & now it's blah.....if I can do this without feeling deprived, so can you. Tomorrow will be 8 weeks & I'm down 43 pounds...
  16. Just wondering if you veterans still have to take small bites & chew it well? Thanks!
  17. I also suffer (over 30 years) & I always wake up with a shaky stomach. I'm so used to it now....
  18. Welcome! I'm Christine & was sleeved on 9/17. Best decision of my life. Started 2 day pre- op at 267. Day of surgery 262 & today almost 8 weeks out 218! So happy you're joining us!
  19. Congrats! So glad all went well! Best decision of my life & now I'm sure yours..
  20. Thanks guys.. I guess I need to adjust my eating habits when I know my period is coming... Very strange!
  21. Bawse52... Thanks for that! You made me crack up laughing along with Grammys response...
  22. I don't know about you, but ever since my sleeve (9/17), period was heavy & lasted longer than usual. Another thing I noticed is a week before I'm due, my sleeve is super-sensitive to everything I eat, no matter what it is...happened last month & it's happening now. Anyone else?
  23. So sorry for your hurricane damage. I'm in Franklin Square. We lost power & had a lot of trees down. Still much luckily than most. Please hang in there. It sounds like a broken record, but it does get easier. Like so many on this site I wish I did it years earlier... Loving my "Sleevie Nicks"- yes I've named her.... Good luck!
  24. That is amazing!! Congrats...
