  1. Thanks so much! Sounds so good. Lol
  2. What is everyone's thoughts on egg whites versus whole egg? I'll be started them next week (can't wait!) & would appreciate any feedback. Is is wrong to not use the egg whites only? Thanks so much...
  3. It really does get better. I was sleeved on 9/17 & I was back to work in 2 weeks. You have to walk a lot & really try to get the liquids in. The protein shakes are very important for your energy. There are days when I can't even think about drinking anymore. I know I definitely do not get in 64 ounces yet. I'm still barely eating! Hope you feel better soon. It does get better! (You're going to hear that alot)! Lol
  4. Good luck. I'm 51 and was sleeved 9/17. Best decision. I also wished I thought of it sooner!
  5. Loved your story... Mine was pretty similar. Especially walking in the OR...good luck to all of us..
  6. Welcome Rainbow....this is a great site with great people on it.
  7. Take care of your heart issue first and foremost. Then you can deal with the weight loss. You want to be in perfect health for this. Good luck & continued prayers... Please keep us posted.
  8. You will find no judgement here! We are all in the same boat going through the same thing. That's what is so great about this site. You can so do this. I was sleeved 9/17 & even though I'm still on purée (my last week) I wouldn't change a thing. You'll do great!
  9. Thanks guys! There was a lot of anxiety over that hurdle. Wow! Congrats on getting back to work so quickly yourself! That's awesome .. Now I need the scale to move a little faster....still stalling. Just spoke with NUT. & she said that's perfectly normal... ( never good at waiting)
  10. Sleeved on 9/17 & back to work. I was a little worried because I live in New York & anyone who is familiar with the city knows the commute can be like a cage fight! Lol. But, I did it!! All the subway stairs I have to walk up wasn't bad at all. Now I just hope my energy lasts the whole day...
  11. That's your best bet. Just mush the meatballs well & you should be just fine.
  12. Not at all. I'm still on purée. So I made sure I ate my breakfast, brought my tomato soup with me along with my protein shake & obviously drank my water. I didn't have any hunger. I had to force myself to eat my soup only because it was lunchtime & I needed to eat. So glad I got through it..
  13. Totally normal! Your belly is still swollen & I'm sure very gassy. It's only been a few days! You will be fine...congrats & good luck!!
  14. Sleeved 9/17. Had to attend a Christening today which I also cooked 2 trays of baked ziti for party. I previously was an Italian food junkie, so of course I was worried this all would bother me. (Also first time being around a lot of food)... It was totally fine!!! Wasn't craving anything at all.
  15. You guys are great! Feeling better already. Thanks!
  16. Just walking. Not even 2 weeks post- ok yet. Was waiting for my doctor visit. Afraid of pulling something.
  17. Just walking. I'm not yet 2 weeks post-op & I wanted to wait until my first doctors visit. I was afraid of pulling something.
  18. Hey sleevers. Need some input here. I was sleeved on 9/17 & have lost 20 pounds so far. Very happy about that, but I've noticed that the scale hasn't moved at all this whole week.Help! Getting all my Proteins & liquids in'
  19. I was put on purée in the hospital. Have to stay on for 3 weeks. (Sleeved on 9/17). Also just eating about 3-4 bites & I'm done. Tonight I thought I'd get brave & try a piece of salmon. Threw it right up! Now I know... I am not as ready as I think I am. The Doctor said that I'd feel better on the outside but your insides will take a long while to heal. Live & learn.
  20. I was also blessed with mine the same night after surgery. Didn't affect anything.... Best of luck to you.
  21. Congrats! You'll do great. Just think of all the great Indian doctors we have here in the US!
  22. My thoughts & prayers are with you. I hope you start to continue to feel better each day....
  23. Congrats! I'm also new to site. Was sleeved last Monday the 17th & it was the best decision I made. Feeling good & returning back to work this coming up Monday. Good luck!
  24. Hey guys. I was just sleeved on 9/17 & all went great. The only problem I seem to be having is a dull pain in the spot at the bottom of my esophagus ( right before it meets the stomach). Nexium doesn't help at all & it affects me every time I eat & drink. Anyone else having this?
