Hello My name is Valerie. I was lapbanded on 5/4/2007 in Houston, Texas. I have been reading alot of forums. Every one is so helpful and encouraging. I wish I would have read this prior to surgery. Great helpful hints. I am 4 days post op. I feel wonderful today. I also have a tip about Multivitamin. You can get them in chewing gum. You chew for 5-10 mins before your meal. Val :typing:

My post op diet is Clear liquids week one, full liquids week two, soft foods week three, and so on. I have my post op appt today. I can go back to work tomorrow. I can't wait. I want to do things at my house that I am not ready to do. Plus my husband is retired so he has his own routinue after the kids go to school. I think I am driving him crazy. All of our pets, 3 dogs and 2 cats are so confused that I am home. I am not sure about blending up a cheeseburger. Because my doc does not want you to blend up food.

Ginger, Where did you have your lapband surgery done? How are you feeling? I had my done in Houston, Texas.

One thing I can tell you is after surgery walk, walk, and walk. I am still trying to remember no pain no gain. I had the emotional roller coaster ride after the surgery. Thinking what have I done to my self. I will let you know I feel better today. Where are you having this done? It will be okay. Keep your chin up and I will too. Val

Hey Everyone, My name is Valerie. I had my lap band on 5/4/07:clap2: My insurance did not pay so I had to pay cash. My first day after surgery was not all that great. But I want to tell any one that needs the advice to walk, walk, and walk some more. I love all the helpful hints. I wish I would have seen this forum prior to surgery date. I was not given postop advice. I am talking about 1st days after surgery. Today is a better day. Thanks for making me feel much better, Valerie
