Good luck ladies! Keep in mind that Georgia is the wonder woman of losing! But others who are super slow and long stall losers (like me) are also losing on the 5:2. If you use it, the weight will come off. Most of us using it do keep the calories down on feast days as well... not to TDEE, so maybe 1100-1600 range for most. It also offers flexibility for celebration for off days, and maintenance. Keep us informed! We can be your cheerleaders if you like.

I've found that when I isolate myself and act like nothing is wrong ( you know- like my weight is going to fall off magically- lol), it really does not help me at all. I've wasted months that I could have been losing weight- eating like a pig (a small cute potbelly one lol) and acting like I was at goal. my weight will always be a struggle for me and that really pisses me off. even with the help of 1/4th my stomach, I manage to gain weight. How sad and pathetic is that. I can do better/ we all can do better just like now with us supporting each other. I have my resolve back to continue to goal. y'all with me??????????

Yes they sure do! Keep at it! You are almost there. I thought that I would never be able to get to my goal, and then I did! I also thought I would never be able to afford plastics, and then a miracle happened and my husband got a bonus from work that was exactly the amount of money I needed to get plastics, and he is so wonderful that he didn't even think twice about making my dreams come true! It's also a bonus for him, he just said he was giving me my 20 year tune up! Lol
I realized yesterday that while I feel fantastic, I still need to take it easy or I get really worn out, and soar. I also made the mistake of not wearing my binder for way to long, and my tummy let me know it. So when anyone does finally get their tummy tucks, please make sure to follow the doctors instructions and wear that binder. The skin still isn't attached to your abdominal wall and so you need the binder in place to hold it there so that the inside can re attach. I will keep updating for everything, and I am so in countdown mode for my new boobies! I will of course post pictures of those ( I will be putting little stickers over the important parts of course! Sorry boys! Hehe). Life is so good!
Keep working it prettyfatchic ( you're going to have to change that name pretty soon to prettyskinnychic!) I hope all your goals and dreams come true too!

I do have one drain left, I just tucked it in my panties. I hope yours goes that great too! You must be totally excited and on count down mode! Two weeks left! I was hoping I would have less stretch marks then I do, but when I was pregnant with my son he decided to park his butt all the way up under my boobs, so I had stretch marks all the way up. I can't wait till I am all cleared to start toning up! My goal is to have some beautiful muscles under there that will make those stretch marks fade away, and nobody will notice them...hehe. I am thrilled at this point. This has been my dream for years, and my dream finally came true!

Yes, I will. I remember when I was first starting this whole thing and I wanted as much info as possible, and I wanted to hear from people about their sleeves, and tummy tucks, and everything. I figure it's my turn to help out those who are just starting out on their journey...to let them know that yes, it is possible to achieve your goals in weight loss, and be happy in your own skin again! I am just so thrilled right now, even with the pain...I am on cloud nine!

Okay this may sound hokey, but my friends made a gift for me before surgery. It's a large jar with a lid and it contains slips of paper in it. Each slip of paper is an idea for an activity that doesn't cost money and doesn't involve eating. When I "think" I want to eat I'm supposed to go take a slip of paper and do the activity instead of eating.
The items are things like taking a walk, call a friend, post on VST or some other on-line group. Each lady that participates in making the jar contributed multiple ideas. In fact I continue to receive anonymous slips of paper with ideas. They just show up on my desk. I dutifully place them in the jar at home because I know will need them someday in the near future.
I just got sleeved 8/19 of this year so I haven't needed it yet, but know I will.
Drink 64 oz h20 a day. Eat 60-80 grams of Protein everyday. Take your supplements. Pray/meditate! Love yourself through this! You are worth it!
    Praying for you - blessings.

Today I went to the playground with my kiddo and the playground in our neighborhood has one of those spiral slides. Before today I was never able to even think about going down the slide with her. Today that all changed. She asked me to go with her and I was like eh what the heck lets see what happens. Went down that slide with no issues!!! Made me so happy to do things like this with her!

Im 29 years old and was on Ginette 35 for last four years. i will be a year out post sleevectomy tommorow. my starting weight was 284lbs & it is 183 as of today, that is a loss of 101lbs. i have been losing weight steadily but very slowly with many stalls, gains & drops . I workout and follow my diet plan religiously. But my periods are not . Just visited my endocrinologist and she asked me to stop Ginette and start metformin instead. lets see if this slows or speeds up the weight loss process... Anyone on metformin??

The worst thing that any of us can do is pretend like everything is hunky dory. That is what I always did in the past, stopped stepping on the scale, ignored my clothes getting tighter, and just being in denial overall. Then, it would be like all of a sudden, I would wake up fat and wonder how it happened!! My best defense against weight gain is routine and keeping trigger foods out of my house. I really do not have any more self control than I had before, but if the food is not there, I can't eat it, plain and simple.
I have said if before, and I will say it again, the only time we fail is when we give up. You already know what you have to do, you just need to do it.

I gave away 7 black garbage bags of cloths. I did keep a pair of pants to remember where I came from. Its really great to pull them out and lay a pair of my new pants on top. I did hate to give away a few of my favs, but figure, someone else might like them as much, and I want to make room for something I really like that fits now. I had a regain last year, and had to buy some larger sizes... kept my smaller sizes in a bin... now that I have lost the regain I can now shop again in my bin! In the past I always kept my bigger sizes thinking I may need to go back to them sometime... but this time I let things go, made a new start.

I kept my biggest pair of pants. There's a pic of me in one leg of them in my gallery. I took my nicer things to my in person support group and let others shop from my trunk. That made me feel good because its such a hassle keeping up with clothes during the weight loss phase. ESP. Something like a coat. Who wants to spend on one when you know it will be too big the following year? I was fortunate to lose most of my weight over the warmer months. My new coats still fit because I was within a few lbs of goal when I bought them.
