1. Everyone looks AMAZING! !! CONGRATULATIONS! I'm down 80lbs myself. I just had my first work flight and sat super comfortably in the seat on one of those little one seat per row planes. Whoo hoo! Easily buckled mine seatbelt with left over on the one side. I could actually tighten it quite a bit. And I could bring the tray down with extra room to spare and could cross my legs too. Felt like a dream! This has changed my life.
2. SW: 326 DOS: 313 CW: 280 Down 46lbs!!! Surgery 10/16
3. Happy Thanksgiving! ! Got in about a 1/2 cup of food total ...protein first (ham), 1 tsp of stuffing, 1 tsp potatoes! Ate too fast I think...ugh gas nausea feeling . Gas X strip for dessert. But was totally psyched that that's ALL I had and I should have had less. Was shocked at the volume of food others were eating...can't believe that's what my plate used to look like.
4. Just went into my basement to grab some older smaller clothes to see if they fit. I have great racks of clothes barely used in a range of sizes (24-26 to 14-16) down there from all my weight loss ups and downs. Looks like a mini Lane Bryant/ Marshall's down there. Lol. Anyway, I just brought up a size 20 pair of pants just for curiosity and...THEY FIT!!!! Started this journey just barely fitting into size 24 pants and now this. WHOO HOO!!! Had to share :-)
5. Had my first post op apt yesterday and it was the first time I got on the scale since the weighed me before surgery and I'm down 23lbs since my 10/16 surgery! With my preop I'm down 36lbs!!! I'm now able to eat most foods and can start going to the gym in one more week. Best thing I've ever done!!!

Was sleeved on 10/16 by Dr Schrope and am down 23lbs! ( total of 36lbs from both preop and surgery). Great experience...best decision I have made in my entire life! !!
7. Beautiful autumn day here. Decided to come to the park with my family. Walked a mile around the track. A very very slow mile but still moving! Can't believe how much it helps. My hubby and kids have been rubbing my back which is funny to the kids when it makes me burp. I am so at peace with this decision. Though the pain now I can see how wonderful life is and will be.

October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves

Just got back home from hospital. Went to ER last night with a fever , pain , dizziness and nausea. Had chest xrays , CT scan , massive amounts of blood work. And was readmitted. My lungs were having trouble opening up as much as they should. Finally glad to be home. Have gas pains and bubbles but am walking around and having ice pops and gas x strips.
9. Came home today but have now developed a fever. Have to go back to hospital for testing .
10. I get to go home this morning ! Yippee!!!

October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves

I get to go home this morning! ! ! Dr said I've been doing really well. No pain , no gas yet and nausea is gone for now as well. Will get an additional lovenox shot before I leave and my vascular dr also prescribed 3 more for while I'm home. (Had a minor dvt from IUD last year...all gone now but now its in my medical history ). Still doesn't feel real yet. Even when looking at my bandages...

October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves

Freshly sleeved as of yesterday. This has been the most profound and incredible journey so far. The support I have found here at the hospital and from all of you here has made this such a moving experience. We have so much to look forward to...together. Thank you to those before me who shared your experiences. It waa invaluable knowing what to expect. And to those being sleeved in the future, may you be blessed with strength, support and love.
14. Yummy broth! Hospital has been AWESOME at helping keep nausea at bay.
15. Sipping and walking here! Still itchy but my hubby was extremely helpful and rubbed lotion on me...so that is helping a lot. Met with surgeon earlier ...made me tear up when I thanked her for saving my life and for giving me such a gift. Will be in the hospital till tomorrow.
