I am really surprised that there are not more people on here from alabama since we are second only to mississippi in highest number of obesity. I am stalled at 19# and frustrated. Hello everyone!! Hope all is well. I was sleeved on the 10th at 7 am! I have been home since Friday' date=' doing okay. It's not all peaches and roses but I'm getting there. I have my ups and downs where I feel great one time and the next I am just exhausted. Giving myself the lovenox injections haven't been to bad, but be warned they sting after the fact. I am not getting all my liquids in but I am working on it. Today I started a check off list of my Protein fluids vs. regular fluids. Hoping this will help. I have been able to get my Vitamins down, but last night they made me sick to my stomach. The main things I am focusing on is my incentive spirometer (for breathing - helps preventive pneumonia after surgery.), walking, sipping fluids, and resting. Resting is the easy part whenever I set on my couch I dose I off. I haven't slept in my bed yet as I am afraid I won't be able to get out, so I have been sleeping in the recliner. I too was sleeved the 10th at 7:30 am lol bout same here really tired soreness getting better I had 2 hernia repairs along with mine. I am sleeping in my bed and nothing could feel better than your own bed! Try rolling onto your side instead of sitting up its alot easier. Not getting all my fluids in either , I am really trying thou. Tired beyond tired is the word. I hope I bounce back soon. Good luck keep in touch

Two more days!!! Oct 8th is my day!!! I'm soooooo nervous...does anyone else have a late afternoon surgery time?I also sleeve 8th mine is scheduled for 730 am Good Luck , I'm a nervous wreck!!!!!!

Clear liquids for 24 hrs starts in the morning. I can't believe its almost here. So grateful for this website. I learned most of what I know here! Think I am prepared.... Thanks everyoneWow only 24 hrs I've got 3 days of it but only one left , I also sleeve on the 8th good luck!

hello Octslevers I'm getting super super nervous I have less than a week away from my surgery and I am scared to death I'm nervous excited all of the above. I am day 2 of my supposed to be all liquid diet I cheated the first day on a bite of toast and I cheated today a bite of my sons pizza seriously why can't I keep to this I hope this gets better after the surgery because this is awful I feel like I could eat a horse sheeshGirl I'm with u , I went 4 days and then cheated on taco meat made me sick to but I'm starving , this is hard part I am gettin real emotional now to. I sleeve on the 8th

Good luck with your surgery , it's norm to be nervous everything will be fine. I am scared to, and excited all at once.

I'm having slips too ! Just get back on track and try your best that's what I keep telling myself ! It's hard for us we obviously got fat bc we like to eat or I did anyway !! Just do your best and make sure you don't slip on the clear diet thR day before ' date=' I may have to wire my jaw shut for that one ! Ok guys having a real hard time day 4 of 10 day pre op liquid diet and I just ate 4 big bites of taco meat
I could not stop now Wat am I to do , feel like such a dumb ass ! -
I'm 43 and I have 3 small children. I have a great husband but I'm still concerned about being "out of it" after surgery. I've chosen not to tell many people until after surgery so I'm worried about being able to take care of my kids that 1st week.Anyone in the same boat? : /
Yes me too I only have one but , still he is 5 and not sure how much help I will have , I'm not telling but just a few people

Measure your food my doc restricted me to 4 oz , i should never eat over 4 oz at a time. If u are eating to much u do run the risk of stretching your stomach out. I would difinately talk to doc about portion restrictions. If u do no feel like u would be getting enough u should always drink do Water 20-30 min prior to meals this will help filling up more.
