  1. I have 7 days to go, this pre op has been very hard for me as well. I did fine the first 4 days. Then I realized I could have fat free chicken broth so I went and purchased that, did week till this weekend. Grr! I slept as long as I could sleep in the am hoping it would help. I also purchased v8 fusion diet. That has helped a lot. My problem with it all is that I have a strange taste in my mouth and strange feeling in my stomach. I think it is the aftertaste. Praying we all can get through this and the next few days goes by quickly!

    Protein shakes

I plan to use unjury, my hubby loves it, ESP the chocolate splendor, he puts a scoop in the bullet w/ice and his milk and it makes a nice shake. He is a kidney pt and needs the protein, so we' ll be doing well together making these shakes. I also have ordered the chicken broth from unjury as well.

    Any March Sleevers?

I am excited to say I finally have my date! March 4th starting pre op diet Monday. Been making list of things to buy for my diet. It seems to me may not be so hard since I work all day and that alone will keep me occupied. Praying you all do well w/ your surgeries marchers!!!
  4. I am new here too. I have been going thru the motions to get a date set since July 2012. I have my nut visits done, psyc eval done and my 6 month pcp visits done. I was finished in November. I found out once everything was turned in to the ins gal at the surgeons office, that my surgeon was leaving the practice! I was so upset!! So panic mode set in, concerned about wether he would be able to still do my surg, since he was leaving practice. The ins girl submited my info to ins company and I was approved at the end of November. Then was told if I planned to stay w/ my surgeon they would need to submit again under new tax ID. Finally after finding out he could continue to be my surgeon, I was finally approved the 2nd time, which was. 3 weeks ago. Now waiting to hear from the new practice, as to when my final seminar is and surgery date. I have sort of lost interest with all that is going on, one day I am excited and the next not. Been a roller coaster! My Bmi is at about 41 and I am a diabetic, I was so looking forward to the sleeve to finally be able to be a healthier person ESP for the 16 grandchildren I have. My highest weight has been 310 and now down to 255. I have been heavy most of my life. So with that said I pray we can all get thru the red tape and get movin on to a much healthier life and be happy!!! I look forward to it. I like this web site, it lifts me up when I have those down days! Good luck girls and guys!!!
  5. My name is Debbie, I am a former buckeye but now live in Virginia. I am 57 years old and my 6 month ins requests will be done in November! I am grandmother of 16 grandchildren, I work as patient service rep for internal meds practice. I have been so excited to get to the end of my 6 mo period. my hubby was hospitalized in the last 3 weeks. He had been in icu for 2 weeks and it was touch and go for him. He is now home and seems to be getting stronger each day. After spending 2 wks with him in hosp around the clock I am not so excited any more. My stress has gotten the best of me. I was both his nurse and wife while he was in hosp. I needed to stay with him to do his pd dialysis @the clock bc alot of the nurses didnt know how to do his dialysis. I was teaching them how to do it. I am exhausted and feel like I have been defeated. I have been stress eating, I had lost weight and now I just feel lost. My highest weight was 310 and finally down to about 255. I really wanted this for me, to do something for me to be healthy, as well as possibly get rid of my Diabetes. I love reading posts on this website. Have been reading since June. I just wanted to say I love the website bc it encourages me in times like what I am in right now. I just want to say Thank You to those encouragers out there.
