  1. I had surgery on the 13th of Sept. Still eating pureed chicken, fish, veggies and eggs. Yogurt and applesauce in between if need be. Haven't tried anything other than what has been on my Menu. Feel great and down 25 lbs. since Sept. 13th! Hope you are doing good.
  2. I also hated the pre-op diet and I thought I was hungry all the time. I just kept remembering my Drs. words "if you cheat on the pre-op diet you may have a more painful recovery because of gas" also if you cheat your liver may be too large to operate....which would really suck if you were all prepared for your surgery and then they would no do it. Just keep these things in mind and it will all be worth it in the end. I am 18 days post-op and have lost 25 lbs. It is an awesome feeling!
  3. I would just blend the pork with the stick blender. I have been eating chicken and fish that way and I am going to try pork that way tomorrow! I am also on week 3.
  4. Not sure where you are going to get the surgery but I brought my own chicken broth because I was in a hotel for a couple of days after surgery. Am I ever glad I brought it.
  5. I also hated protein powder so I started drink 'High Protein Boost" and it is really good. I tastes like choc milk shake. Just a thought!
  6. I am now on pureed foods and I am finding it hard to get my Water in. I can never finish my supper (1/4 cup pureed chicken, 1/4 cup of carrots). I eat really slow but I get full before I can get my supper down. I am having great weight loss results. When I was just on liquids I always seemed hungry and never really satisfied...but now I get really full from eating very little. It's working!
  7. I had low B12 several months before surgery. I started taking my B12 vitamin and within 3 weeks my levels were normal again.
  8. I am 17 days post op and I was starving on liquids also but once I started pureed foods I finally feel satisfied again. Hang in there, it does get better!
  9. I also researched the band but heard so many negative things about it and in my area there was no where to go to be the band adjusted. I went with the sleeve and don't regret it for a minute and don't have to go anywhere to get it adjusted! It has only been 16 days for me but I already know I made the best decision of my life - down 22 lbs. in 14 days!
  10. Thanks everyone. I was just wondering when it would be safe.....I am not a risk taker at all so I will wait for about 2-3 months before I try popcorn!
  11. I know I am asking this question early but does anyone know when we are allowed to eat popcorn. It is so strange but that is the only thing I am craving and miss!
  12. That is awesome, I lost 22 lbs in 14 days! It is a great feeling isn't it?
  13. I didn't cheat but I know a couple of people who did and they had one hell of a time after surgery with extreme gas pains for days after surgery. I saw one of them and personally I would not recommend it.
  14. I was sleeved on Sept. 13th and of course I am still on liquids but I have my 3 meals per day no problem. Runny oatmeal for breakfast, High Protien Boost (I hate protien powder also) and soup for lunch and supper and jello or sugar free popsickles for snacks. I am tolerating everything so far and can't wait to try pureed foods on Thursday...start of week 3. I do find it hard to get my 8 glasses of water in a day though because you can't drink 15 minutes before you eat or 45 minutes after you eat so it doesn't give you took much time in between to drink. I hope you start wanting to eat soon.
  15. My Dr. used glue also and it is it much better.
  16. I suppose this goes away after a while but does anyone know when? I am also very week today! Is this normal?
  17. I didn't have any pain and could get up to walk but I hated to drink because it felt so weird. I had a really bad head ache and every time I stood up I would gag and dry heave. It was horrible but once I started drinking more the next day I felt better. Hang in there. It has been a week and a half for me and I am doing good.
