  1. Thanks for the response!! I will look at those diets and hope they can help get me back on track!!
  2. I am 9 months post OP, and have lost almost 90lbs. In the last week I have GAINED 10lbs!!! I know I haven't been on top of the food choices but they haven't been horrible. I am just finishing TOM so idk if that has any impact. Do u think stress would play a part? I'm going thru a messy divorce and stress is constant. Do u think I should go back to protein shakes for a few days?? Just looking for advice, I am freaking out. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm so scared that I will put the weight back on.
  3. Everyone is different but I went back a day short of a week but I have a desk job. I felt good, not nearly as tired as I thought I would be. Just remember to get your fluids in! Good luck! Getting the sleeve is the best decision I have ever made!
  4. Oh the wonderful stalls....I understand your frustration! I stalled about about a week and a half when I was about 3 weeks post op. I thought I would be the only one out there that the sleeve didn't work for There are a lot of people that run into the same thing!! Although it is frustrating as heck, keep your head up and know you will overcome it! Just a bump in our wonderful journey to becoming healthy!
  5. I also had Dr Jones out of Park Nicollet. I had a great experience from first walking into the office to going to my post op appts. Everyone is friendly and helpful and most of the nurses have been through a WLS themselves which made me feel better. I am a little over a month post op and have had no problems at all. Was back to work in less than a week. My friend had hers done there also and recommended Dr. Jones. She is about a year and a half out and still has good things to say about them. Good luck with your journey!! It is worth all the work!!! Best decision I have made!
  6. Congrats!!!!!! Best feeling ever!!!
  7. I am on week 2 of the 3rd week stall...I understand how crazy it can make you!! I have been frustrated and feel like a failure. But it is encouraging to read that others go through the same thing and it will eventually break. Hang in there a up and keep your head up! We will be "losers" in no time
  8. Oh my gosh thank you for posting this! I am on my second week for this stall and I am going crazy. I cannot seem to break myself of weighing everyday and it gets frustrating! It even went up 2 lbs at one point!! I start thinking that maybe this is not going to work for me and I will fail like the countless other diets I have done. It feels good to know others are going thru this too and that it will eventually end. So glad I can come on here and feel better! Thanks and good luck to you!!
  9. I was also told no vitamins until the pureed stage...it is amazing how different Drs have different rules and preop diets.
  10. I seen that!! I told my husband..yep that is what my belly is going to look like! Hope someday I will be able to have the extra skin removed!
  11. I have had the same thought. And as much as I know that everyone is different, it still feels like I am the only one that is eating too much. I think we get an idea of what it is going to be like after surgery and if something is slightly different then that we panic. I am sure you are doing fine...just worrying Stay strong!
  12. Incredible difference! Awesome to see all the hard work pay off!! Congrats!
  13. Looking great!! Congrats!!
  14. Awesome job!! You look great! An inspiration and motivation for all!!!
  15. I am almost 3 weeks post op. I also was in the hospital for 2 days. Was up and walking the evening of surgery, I was sore and it felt like I did a ton of situps. I relaxed the day I got home but never used my pain medication after leaving the hospital. My incisions were closed with surgical tape. They were sore especially the one where they pull your stomach out of. I went back to work 1 day short of a week although I have a desk job. I made sure I got enough fluids in and I really think that helps in feeling better. Just don't over do it and listen to your body and I think you will be fine Good luck!
  16. Is this we should be checking? My Dr never said anything
  17. Thank you for ur post. I have been feeling like I am falling back into the same habits again too I am also 3 weeks out and am supposed to be on full liquids but have somehow convinced myself that a few CheezIts were ok I let my inner voice justify that it is ok since I cannot eat much of them. Then I feel like a failure I think weekends are the worst for me so I need to keep myself busy and not have much time to think about the foods I cannot have! I hope things get easier for you!! I know ur not the only one going through the feelings!!
  18. Thanks for the great idea!! I cannot find a protein powder I like!
  19. Yes! Had the same problem!
  20. I know how you feel! That is how I was with my first bowl of cream of mushroom soup! Amazing!!
  21. I am almost a week out and have had this problem too. Every time I think I am hungry, I drink water. I have also heard it may be an acid issue but I have not taken anything for that. It will get better! As the numbers on the scale go down you will forget the hungry issues Good luck!
  22. Glad you are doing ok ArtSong! It is my turn tomorrow
  23. Good luck to you!! You can DO it!!
