  1. Drink water and keep moving, you can do it! I understand totally I had six months of dr supervised dieting, I thought it would never end. I know you can do it!
  2. Does anyone know why we can't have zantax or similar after the sleeve? What does it do?
  3. Worry about today and each day's weight loss, his opinion can change greatly in your favor as you prove him wrong. You can do it, I believe.
  4. Gas x dissolving strips I've read that you should bring to the hospital, could not find everywhere but did at target, some have suggested pillow for trip home, maybe heating pad. Have not gone yet but making lists
  5. Where do you find isoprene? Is it only online? Also I read people drinking the tea does the caffeine bother their sleeves?
  6. I'm allergic to iodine and certain vitamins make my stomach hurt.
  7. I feel it is up to the person if or if not you tell. I feel it is quite honest to say you were having gastric issues and had a procedure to fix it. Then move on or change the subject. I have had stomach issues in the past and when people tried to get me to eat things I didn't want I blamed it on my doctor and my ulcers. This way if the cooked something special for me they do not feel I'm rejecting them or it. I have my surgery in August some people I will tell or have been tod and the rest it will be the above. I wouldn't tell everyone about my period or women's issues so why would I tell everyone about this private body change. Your life. Your decision. Don't feel guilty!
  8. It may sound strange but rubbing you forehead works on hiccups, it is even medical
  9. I'm north of kc but it is great to hear from someone in the area
  10. When I was "thin" before I wore a "slick" type of support panty hose so I could kind of stuff me here and there. I had them on when I saw a doc and he said that it is great for circulation too and to keep it up. I mainly bought them because my clothes didn't stick to them so I seemed smoothed out. I don't wear hose often now but hope it gets your mind on something that works for you.
  11. You are to be admired!! I totally understand the steriod bit, just got a shot yesterday. I got Legionnaires pneumonia years back and it scared my lungs so every little bug totally knocks me out. I had 4 rounds of antibiotics and 4 rounds of steroids last September and barely remember the month. Nothing like what you have been through but I understand the endless hunger and chubby round face it causes. Keep up the good work.
  12. Surgery at KCBaratrics next month, anyone else in the area?
  13. Has anyone tried stomach wraps, cinching, stomach supports similar to pregnancy ones.?.?
  14. Also what pain meds did you get an rx for and the costs? Lovenox can be 300-600 bucks What fun
  15. Has anyone been sent home and had to give themselves lovenox shots? It a blood thinner for blood clots?
  16. I gained at least once in six months but made sure I stayed between my weight levels to qualify as bcbs told me if I went below my 35 with bmi I could loose out. But they also like to see weight loss as it is a sign during your waiting period that you can be successful. I made it and just got approved recently
  17. Anything severe should be a call to your doc in my opinion, will say a prayer for you
  18. You look normal for a mom, what more can we expect!
  19. Be careful of stress fractures, I broke my ankle many years ago and have stress fractured since. Not worth it since my ankle is double to triple sized today.
  20. I've had both responses, some are envy comes across as non support. They are afraid they are loosing their eating out buddy, dessert buddy, and someone as larger or larger than they are. I understand it all as I have been there myself when my friends lost weight. When we talk about our surgery we remind them that we are changing and they are not. I try to think of it this way, I maybe leading them to a better life by example. If they are thinking I'm taking the "easy" way out I remind them this surgery is anything but easy. I have multiple health reason that I hope this helps, plus others I don't want to end up having. I have not had one person say "GREAT". So do what you need for you and hope they become supportive afterwards when you look great, but they might still be jealous then.
