  1. I'm going to Mx for my sleeve in March. I'm worried work will give static over being a self pay out of country surgery. Any thoughts? Amanda Rae
  2. Hooray for you! I will be flying in on 3/10 and out in 3/15. Amanda Rae
  3. Check out Hotwire.com. They're reasonable. Amanda Rae
  4. His questions were intrusive. It's almost like you were pressured into giving info you didn't feel comfortable giving. I'm not justifying or rationalizing lies. Nor am I judging. I just empathize with you and can appreciate that you panicked. Amanda Rae
  5. It helps to alleviate some of the anxiety that accompanies our decision to self pay in another country. Amanda Rae
  6. So glad to hear from you and that you're alive and well. Amanda Rae
  7. Thank you for the updates. It's nice to know that everyone is recovering and successful postop. Most importantly, healthy! Amanda Rae
  8. Don't leave us so soon after your sleeve. We get worried when you disappear!!! Amanda Rae
  9. Yes, Coolmama73, how are you doing? Amanda Rae
  10. Tell me about it! I'd prefer to fly out of CAK but it is cheaper in Cleveland.
  11. For me WW was seamless and natural. I just had issues with Mirena and other stuff. I had lost over 100 lbs and felt great. Wasn't starving. Then Murphy's Law. But I realize that I need to be sleeved as an ultimate safety net. Amanda Rae
  12. I can dig it. And once I hit goal I think we combined with my sleeve will be an unbeatable combo! Amanda Rae
  13. I know getting positive attention as you become healthier and more fit is great, but does it make you angry or resentful at all? How do you adjust if you are feeling that? I'm still preop (and married) so I won't be shopping or anything but I wonder if suddenly being "good enuff" for attention will bring me down. Thoughts? Amanda Rae
  14. Considering obesity has been a part of my life forever I need a "permanent" solution as a foundation for the WW lifestyle. I think once I'm postop and at goal WW will make the healthy new me a force to be reckoned with! And it's a safe way for me to lose weight until I start the official preop diet closer to surgery time. :-) Amanda Rae
  15. Let me go on the record saying that I believe WW is the best and most realistic program out there. I had previously lost tons of weight on WW and felt great. Thanx to Mirena and other issues I gained it all back with interest. Now I need surgical help to get healthy, and most importantly STAY that way. That being said I am currently doing the WW program again to safely lower my BMI for my surgery. I am happy to report I lost 1.4 lbs the 1st week and 7.6 lbs this week. I am chipping away at my BMI bit by bit! Amanda Rae
  16. I think whatever message was intended was lost when everything became heated and confrontational. This thread, as a whole, deteriorated to the equivalent of shouting over top each other focusing more on your reply than what someone was saying. I cannot speak for the masses , but myself I want to know as much as I can about Dr. alejandro lopez as possible. Good/bad/neutral. I want to hear honest experiences. I'd prefer to avoid generalizations. I don't want to be apart of an online scream fest. Fishy, I do not believe I once said your message wasn't worth hearing, but I did comment that the delivery (especially a few pages back in this thread) was overshadowing your point. Amanda Rae
  17. Thank you for sharing your experience so far. It is very comforting. And the general consensus seems to be that Eduardo and Dr. Ortiz are rather fine! Amanda Rae
  18. Keeping hydrated. Exercise. Possibly cosmetic surgery. Amanda Rae
  19. Creo médico Ortiz y Eduardo son super caliente!
  20. How cool! It will truly be a New Year for you!! Amanda Rae
