  1. That's great! I am a happy positive person by nature so I'm optimistic I can hold onto that through my journey. Amanda Rae

  4. It really puts things into perspective. I wish I home now and could hug my family close. Amanda Rae
  5. I've read my surgeon does 3. Once during surgery and 2 postop. Amanda Rae
  6. Sooooooooo. What are everyone's expectations regarding surgery, facility, and care in Mexico? My expectations are modest but firm. I want an experienced, skilled, and knowledgable surgeon/staff. I want a clean room and a sterile OR with sterile equipment. I want relevant and operational medical equipment. It doesn't need to be cutting edge as long as it does its job which ensuring the medical safety of myself and other patients. My surgeon is Dr. Lopez/Osuna or Lopez/Ortiz if Dr.Osuna is not available. My destination is Mi Doctor Hospital in Tijuana, Mx. My coordinator is Ronda, a super nice lady, through A Lighter Me. Amanda Rae
  7. Thank you for saying that! It really helps hearing first hand experiences with Dr. Lopez. And Dr. Osuna is back in TJ?! Awesome. Amanda Rae
  8. All, I try very hard to keep my posts positive, encouraging, and supportive. That is why I visit this board and I cannot help but feel I am not the only one here for support. My reaction on this thread is the exception rather than the rule. My feelings regarding the aforementioned subject have not changed, however, if I could go back I would have refrained from losing my cool... and publicly. Not my style. Alas, i am human... Hindsight tends to be 20/20 and bells cannot be unrung. Peace. :-) Amanda Rae
  9. Best wishes and a safe surgery for you! Amanda Rae
  10. Couldn't have said it better myself. Best of luck to you. Amanda Rae
  11. Have a safe trip and a safe surgery! Don't forget to let us know you're okay! Amanda Rae
