  1. I had the same issue. Protonix wasn't working well. Just started prilosec on Sunday. Taking 20mg twice a day. It's a very small pill. But I have had to take tums a couple of times in the middle of the night. It does say that it takes a little bit for the prilosec to work so hopefully it will get better!!
  2. Wow!! I'm sure that was an usual thing for ya'll! You don't here about many earthquakes up there.
  3. Where do you live? I'm in Texas and if I felt an earthquake I might have a heart attack! Lol!
  4. You can get Tylenol in liquid form
  5. Good luck hippychic!! It's an amazing journey and I think you will be pleased with your choice!
  6. I made one with Hawaiian punch and pineapple juice. Then put a couple of pieces of dry ice to make it bubble like witches brew. It was a big hit!
  7. So glad you are feeling better!
  8. I was told to take calcium citrate due to the fact I will be taking a ppi which inhibits the absorption of calcium carbonate.
  9. I use to make a weight watcher "key lime pie" It was really yummy!! http://www.food.com/recipe/weight-watchers-key-lime-pie-158671
  10. I'm mcwestfam on my fitness pal. Feel free to add me!
  11. I'm sorry you feel bad! Have you taken your temperature? It sounds like you may be running a fever.
  12. It sounds like you may be dehydrated. Please call your physician or go to the ER. This can be very dangerous.
  13. It sounds to me it might be due to the acid building up over night and nothing being in there to absorb or flush it out. Hopefully the Prilosec will help. And just keep pushing fluids as not to get dehydrated. And really keep an eye on that blood pressure. Low bp can cause lots if weird symptoms!
  14. I'm so sorry she is going thru this! It will get better. My first thought is do they have her on anything for acid (ppi). Prilosec etc?
  15. I am doing awesome! 1 week post op today and everything is going great. My energy is coming back and I'm so happy!!
  16. Woo hoo!! That is awesome! You look wonderful!!
  17. I took a neck travel pillow which was a life saver. Used it to sleep sitting up because laying flat after surgery hurt. Used it to hold pressure on my stomach when getting up or changing positions. So glad I had it. Was also very glad I had my heating pad, a small extension cord, and slippers. I wish I had brought sweats because I froze on the flight home. Good luck!!
  18. As a health care provider I strongly urge everyone to have an advance directive and power of attorney, especially if you are facing a surgery or hospitalization!! It's always a good idea.
  19. How fun!! That sounds like it would be awesome! I won't be in shape by December but maybe that would be a good future goal for me!! Good luck!
  20. From what I understand, if you are taking a ppi for acid reduction then you need to be taking calcium citrate because it doesn't need the acid to absorb.
  21. Glad you made it home! I'm resting at the hotel after an afternoon of shopping. Just a couple hours wore me out! Not looking forward to a long day of travel tomorrow!! Prayers are with you too!!
