Hi everyone, sounds like everyones doin pretty good. I went to my first fallow up appt. today, it went well I'm down 22lbs and my infection has cleared. I get to go to pureed foods, YAH I hoping it will make not eating the good stuff easier.... Have a good day

wow Liberty you look really good, I bet you feel good to huh?? I can't wait to lose that much. Does anyone live in washington state?? good for you Audrey, I think your the youngest I've seen. You know the younger the better elasticity your skin has.. Good luck

congrats.....All. It's such a good exciting feeling. When I got my award letter last month I put it on the wall in my living room. I was so happy and very releaved it took me 2 yrs to get approved so I didn't know if I should cry or jump up and down. Anyway good luck to all. banding 4/27/07

I wish I would have read this sooner. I also ended up in the ER cause I was haveing such a hard time breathing for a couple days. everything turned out fine they said from swelling the band was against my diafram.. I guess I gonna have to try the pillow thing cause I'm still full of gas it gets very uncomfortable, I want it GONE!!! Emily 4/27/07

Thanks for the invite wanjea. I live off bridgeport near the Mcord Airforce. I think I'm gonna give it one more week before I start doin alot of walking. When I've gone to the store or tried walking within about 10 minutes I start getting cold sweats and and feeling sick. I dont know what thats about, but I hope it stops soon, not a great feeling. I wouldn't mind going to a support group as well. How do you get the little weight scales on your page? I went to tickerfactory but cant figure out how to paste it to my page..

yah well I guess we weren't doing so well before. HUH? getting the band you have to make-over your whole life everything has to be done different. What about getting hungry?? it's been 10 days and now I keep feeling hungry and I think my first fill will be in 4 weeks..

You know even if your blood test come back ok they should do a ultrasound thats how I found out I have it. Other Things that might point towards PCOS is frequient lower abdomanol pain and pain with intercourse. It's just something that would be good to check into. But As you said some people are just naturally hairy due to genetics or whatever. good luck

Hi, I'm 26 and I think now at your weight is the perfect time to have it done. Dont wait for anyone... At 21 I weighed 220, I went in to surgery 10 days ago and weighed 316 highest weight was 331... It's hard for anyone to be over weight but it's hard to be so young and have the medical problems of an older person because of your weight. Just go for it, you will feel so much better and just think of all the cute clothes you could go shopping for(:

I dont mind burping, but I cant stand this I feel like I have a big bubble in my chest and I cant burp it out. Where are you from Laura, I haven't seen many people on here close to my age.

geez Wish I could help! I'm 10 days post-op and have had nothing but gas, air, burps what ever you wanna call it.. I've been trying gas-x and deep breathing and it doesn't help. All I know is I'm very uncomfortable and tired of it as well. Maybe it's something your eating that doesn't agree with you.

oh yah on a good note I have lost 16 lbs.... And am thankful I got the opertunity for this life changing/saving surgery...

I was banded 4/27 everything has been so so on meds for a infection, but doing fine.. my biggest problem is all the gas, I feel so bloaded and uncomfortable. Tried gas-x, deep breathing ect. but cant seem to get any relief. And now I'm hungry and dont like it, I think I still have about 4 weeks till fill... Emily

I havent meet anyone who has had a baby after banding, but my doctor told me that lots of people do and there seems to be no problems they just adjust your band. I want to have another baby and they told me it's ok to get pregnant 1 year after banding but they perfer you wait 2. It will be alot easier to conceive after your weight has gone down. Good luck
