  1. Has anyone else tested positive for H Pylori in the pre op stage ? I am hoping these antibiotics kick it to the curb .. I have this paranoia that it won't and I will never have my surgery
  2. Hi all I am a 31 year old LVN in Texas , I was scheduled for surgery 10-9 but that has been postponed due to H Pylori ... So maybe being sleeved end of October ...hopefuly

I have a 3 year old son and i totally understand what your saying , I have the same fears running through my mind , i guess no one really ever knows what lays around the corner , but for me I am going through with it bc i believe it will keep me here longer for my son and healthier for my son ..... I too have the fear that it could turn out different ,your not alone in your fears !
  4. My surgery for 10-9 has been postponed to An unknown date , i tested positive for H Pylori so 2 weeks of antibiotics , wait two weeks , and Retest ... Hopefuly I will still be an October sleever !

  7. Two weeks of antibiotics and then have to re test two weeks after that so that would be after my surgery date of the 9th
  8. I have people tell me this too I am 5'4 217 lbs with diabetes and I really don't care what they say , they aren't the ones with a life of sickness and trouble laying ahead of them ... Don't worry about others trying to talk you out of it , do what you need to do for yourself . I can totally relate to this post though

  10. I got my pre op paperwork in the mail today !! October 9th is rapidly approaching ... Nervous and excited
  11. Orthostatic hypotension , due to dehydration , can you tolerate Gatorade or sugar free Gatorade ? If you can this may help or maybe some broth ? You need more fluid but you also need the sodium to retain the fluid and raise your bp
  12. I have heard great things about the mio sweet tea too , it's where the crystal light is I think
  13. I'd see your dr and rule out phlebitis , which is an infection of the vein if it does not Significantly improve soon , hope you feel better !

  15. I have had fleeting moments of thinking the same thing but then I just keep remembering why I am Doing this ..only you know what the right choice is for you . I am scared to but I am even more scared of living life on the sidelines to embarrassed or ashamed to participate bc I'm to fat to swim to fat for this to fat for that . I am Also doing this to kick diabetes butt too !! Or at least keep it controlled or at bay . Take some deep breaths and know that you are not alone
