  1. looks really good. Today I am just eating because I have to. just swallowed some almonds...lol Would have traded for what you had if you could have made it for me..lol...yum
  2. I spent 5.5 months in the hospital because of a leak that I did not bring on myself. Almost 2 years with constant complications and severe pain and you will never know the things I have experienced to get to this place.... Go a head eat whole food and then contact me when the trouble begins and I will let you really know what your in for... Just because the food smells good... If you can't do it now..i am concerned about the 2 of you later on....PLEASE Stick to the program!
  3. Yup we have all gotten them and we all stand there mouths wide open thinking what would they do if I said that to them...but we close our mouths and don't say anything.. Well meant comments..I think not... Invasion of your space..i think so.... I would say if i want your advice I will tell it to you and then you can relay it to me.....Some people!
  4. No they are saying that I am special and that god saved me for a reason and that I am going to make a difference in the world. They just don't know how!
  5. I am not putting your beliefs down..I just know that I am no better or different then anyone else that has gone through a surgery or an experience in life and survived.....No malice or disrespect intended hun. i just know I am not what they think I am. And it happens all the time.. These last 2 times were hands on. Usually they just say it not touch me and jump away....It was scary for me...I am not an example to anyone and would never put myself there. That's all I meant! Sorry!
  6. Bah, ha, ha, ha Can you post you and that face for me to learn from.... Practice makes perfect you know!
  7. If one more person tells me that I have the hand of god I think I might lose it. At the grocery store putting my groceries in my car my cart slips away a woman grabs it and I thank her. She puts her hand on my shoulder and quickly removes it. She jumps back. I ask her what happened if she got a shock she says no. You have the hand of god. I say what and she points at me and says about 2 years ago right. I look at her and don't reply...She says I am close to god and I know. she says today will start to be a better day for you...I smile she walks away...My day continues to be just another day...Saturday I am walking back from the mail box and a woman asks me if I am well. I say what do you know about me and she says have yo had a heart attack. And I say no! She says I saw you and prayed for you right away.. You are special and in gods hands... Next I go to buy fish and the man behind the counter tells me that I have been saved for a purpose and that I will make a difference in this world... I do believe in God. But I know I am not more important then anyone else. Just because I survived a almost deathlike experience does not make me special....It makes me really uncomfortable. It happens to me a lot! Scares me and unsettles me a lot!
  8. This is a journey and not a diet. This is a program and not a failed diet. Did diets work for you before....no! That is why you had the surgery! Fix your brain. Retrain it to look at the reasons why you used food to comfort yourself and change the way you see food. Not as a reward or a comfort but to nourish the body only. All these diets have major flaws that is why we could not stick to them... Please learn how to eat healthier putting your Protein in first, next vegges, fruit and last carbs. 64 oz's Water and off you go...Your on the run to success. The body will follow if you fix the reasons why you love food as a form of comfort.....
  9. Everything feels different as you lose the weight compared to when you were say 19 or a little older. My chest bone sticks out and it never ever did. I look like I have a mountain between my breasts. But that is just how I see myself. My entire body looks different since I lost the weight and as I lost it in different places at different times there were times I feared how it would turn out. Well I lost all my weight and am looking forward to surgery to fix the mess. Please try to stay focused on the goal of weight loss and look forward to fixing the outcome later. One step at a time...okay!
  10. You may be like me and very seldom have a migraine again. for several years I had constant severe migraines. I went to an Osteopath for help 3 times a week. I have only had 4 since my surgery almost 2 years ago. Please work these things out with your surgeon before you go for surgery. I know that some still take strong meds for certain reasons and it is okay. Others only Tylenol. Here's hoping that your constant pain will be gone like mine is!
  11. It is not about cheating that is the issue here hun. In fact if she was several months into this ...any of those foods would be fine...in moderation and few and far between. It is the issue of the possible damage that can be done to her new and baby sleeve.....She has no reason to feel like she failed and I don't think that was what she was asking....That is true it is one of the biggest fears of this journey. And those who are out much longer have terrible anxiety over it... But right now she is in the honeymoon period and that still is not the point.... It is that she is taking risks that will or could or can cause her severe complications....Also if she cannot buckle down when her sleeve is new then she will need counseling to help her deal with what is setting her off and how to solve it and retrain her brain..... Not disagreeing with you at all, I think you give wonderful advice! Just thought she could also use some positive encouragement going forward. I certainly wasn't trying to downplay the seriousness of the damage that could be done at this stage, the fear of that is one of my best motivational tools to follow my center's plan!
  12. sip, sip and sip some more...And don't forget to put some Water into the equation. Also some coconut water or G2 Gatorade to help with electrolytes. We all go through it and we all wonder and we all do it..So it is possible maybe more so then figuring out then Algebra!
  13. I went through the pre liquid 2 week diet as well twice. some how it was not an issue for me because I believed that something might have happened and they needed my spot.. I am sorry for you because they flubbed up....Just keep on researching and looking forward...You will get there and be so happy About it!

  15. holy crap....As one that has had every difficulty in the book except dying..And I came close to that you don't want any complications hun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your sleeve is raw inside. It cannot handle any real food at this time. Not only is it swollen and raw but the staples are at risk of being torn free. There are so many posts on here that can give you guidelines on what to do and what not to do right now in this part of your journey.
  16. Maybe they did not want to mention it just in case you could not keep the losing up. It happens you know. Maybe it is that they were rooting for you and did not want to say something that would bring you down. Or they could be so dam self absorbed that they can't see past their own noses at work!
  17. Excellent advice @@NYCkindofgirl Couldn't have advised better myself......I use a cooling gel sometimes and it helps to stop the heat that comes with these cramps. Or a nice long hot bath!
  18. Nice to see things work out for a change eh! Congrats on your up coming surgery.....
  19. Love, love hearing the wonderful NSV's
  20. Another 5 day power outage here thanks to hurricane Author... Had another CT scan will know results on Friday...Hoping that the drain will be removed and I can start to live again soon....
  21. Please get this abscess looked at ASAP! so that it does not burst and you go septic....Right now I have a drain that is trying to collapse a pocket on my left side under my rib cage. Been there for 5 weeks now....Hoping it will be a success soon!
  22. I am 169. 5'8" and I range from a XXL to a 12. Depends on the label. I think that's okay because when I started out I was at the biggest size you could buy at any store....Okay the last store I could even shop at.... I have not had plastics yet and those in the know tell me I will be a size 6...That scares the hell out of me...i have no shape at all right now and won't when they are done taking the skin off. i am a string bean.....For a girl that sucks... Now they have upped the clothes sizes. What used to be a 10 is now a 12. Even in France this has happened because they are becoming Americanized in their eating habits...... I know this because when I taught English to a couple French designers they told me of the new trend there. Will we ever be happy with who we are, as long as we are no longer obese......I wonder that all the time!
  23. I don't know. it takes time to recover and build up again. Your going to get it all back. Have patients little one... I was in a coma for 19 days as a complication of this surgery and I can no longer sing at all. no longer can reach the high notes due to a trach. Be glad you will get there and very soon.. I did not make my living singing but it meant the world to me to be able to sing....
