My fiancé and I have been together for 5 years. He loved me 90 pounds ago, and loves me now.. even when I don't love myself. There's no man that could do for me what he can. In any way!!! Now im just bragging lol. Sorry.
Everything new we expect to experience always is discussed as a WE. I look forward to going dancing in sexy clothes...with him.
I trust that we will be ok. I believe that if you're solid before, you'll be solid after.

I don't agree with this completely. ****... 'normal' isn't normal in most relationship THESE DAYS.
A bit of jealousy can be healthy if only for the reason that it prevents complacent blinders.

I regret that I didn't take the 6 month pre op diet very seriously. I wish I would have taken that time to practice eating slowly and thoroughly, along with getting in lots of fluids, familiarizing myself with high Protein foods, and detoxing from certain things like sugar and carbs. I think that would have made the first month a lot easier, both emotionally and physically.

I think that what you did was very cowardly and immature. I tried to handle a very valid issue I had with you privately, and you couldn't handle it. I know we all have issues which led us to overeating and needing this surgery, and maybe some of your have to to with growing up.

I had my surgery on 3/14/13 and have since lost 53 pounds.
I can move. I can cross my legs. I mowed the freakin lawn the other day. I'm living again. I even bought a dress for the summer. I'm not a slave to food. I don't go to bed at night hating myself for being too weak to not get fatter. I was digging my grave with a knife and a fork, and now I feel awesome.
I had my doubts the first month. I regretted the surgery. And I missed my carbs. I still get some cravings, but it's not like that I HAVE TO HAVE IT kind of thing. My food addiction is controlled, and that is the best part of all of this.
Now I just need to start working out!!!

I'm new here, but I can not wait to NOT have to ask my husband to paint my toenails. Or buckle my sandles. Or pass on the cute pair of heels and go for the flats instead. Or...... Struggle to clean properly after a bathroom trip.... Hey. Someone had to go there! Lol!

Yes!!! My husband is very cute, and while he totally loves me, I always feel like people look at us and think "she must have a really good personality!!"
Oh and the sweating! My son gets a kick out of that.

BigFatLoser got a reaction from Brenda0928 in 6month requirement. Gaining more than losing.
I have a thyroid issue and ended up gaining 19 pounds in the 6 months. Granted my Tsh was up to 43 (normal is 2) and I had a letter from my PCP stating that the thyroid at that level makes it impossible to lose. I was approved with no issue. I was scared to death of denial.
Take it from me, a true worrier, not doing the work in these last few months is not worth the anxiety about getting approved. And of course it won be worth getting denied. GET IT TOGETHER, GIRL! You can do this!!!
