My Hubby Moved My Scale.....
LOL!! Who else has a visual of naked people scurring around the house with a scale hugged to their chest...plopping down the scale carefully around the house and getting on the scale filled with optimism.....anyone? Anybody? Or just me? :-) Hey, it's FUN to live in my head.

My Hubby Moved My Scale.....
...and I gained 8 pounds!!!! Really!! , this happened yesterday. He was cleaning (yah, he's a keeper) and moved my electronic scale. I weigh myself every monday. I got on it this morning and I was up 8 pounds from last week. Then I noticed the scale was in a different place. So I decided to try an experiment. I put it in several places around my huge tile bathroom. My weight ranged from 212 to 230!!! I had to chuckle. So....if I want to feel skinnier, weigh in this corner....feeling fat today? This corner!!! It was funny....but maybe you had to be there....but, then again I was naked as a jaybird so maybe not. :-). And yes, i know all the rules. Don't go by the scale only (i don't!). And to really keep things real you need to weigh on the same scale, in the same spot...etc. I just wanted to share my chuckle this morning with all of of sleever buddies. :-)

Lets Get Real! I've Been Reading A "regrets" Thread
Dana- i was really scared too. I have Five, (5!) autoimuune diseases. Very serious ones. I had to go off all my meds to have this surgery. But if I don't get this weight off, I am looking at redoing my two knee replacements, plus having ankle fusions within 10 years. And i'm only 50 yrs old! I decided the good outweighed the bad. I'm now 4 weeks out (tomorrow!) and I was SURE i was going to be in pain because i can't have any of my treatments for 6 weeks. (the medicine supresses my immune system and then my sleeve wouldnt heal.). I'm am happily shocked that my body is doing so great!! I'm more fatigued than most and can't start exercising for at least another month, so my progress is slower. So what? I know that in a year from now I am going to be so healthy! It IS a struggle at first. For everyone. Don't kid yourself about that. Some people its a few days, for others it is longer. But for people like you and me who really need to exercise to delay their diseases from taking over, because for now there are no cures unfortunetly, I personally think that this is the best thing we can do for oursleves. It's just so hard to exercise with lugging extra poundage around! But, all that being said, you have to believe that this surgery is the right thing for you. So, keep questioning your doctors until you are 80-90% sure. Because there will most likely always be a small doubt....and that's normal. Or so my surgeon told me. :-) He said he worries more about the cocky people who have no fears. But that's a whole other topic! So...did Atena approve you?

Pimples On My 50 Yr Old Face!
....and I have no clue what to use. Yes, I will make an appointment with my dermatologist, but in the meantime what do I use? I have no clue and I have one on my jaw that hurts. In my youth I used Witch Hazel and Clearasil. Does Clearasil even still exist? Gotta love the hormones being released in my fat, but this is crazy. Pimples and wrinkles!

3 Weeks Post Op! Need Advice
- Leg Cramps!
NewGrandmother, how are your legs this morning? Were you able to sleep ok?- Leg Cramps!
Good morning! I don't think you are quite awake yet, lol. No one was rude here. :-) If it came across as rude, it certainly wasn't meant to be. Just making sure no one screamed 'she's getting MEDICAL advice!' And NewGrandmother was confirming that she what was asking for what other other peoples experience, not medical advice. If you search 'medical advice' in other theads inevitably you'll see someone tsking and saying 'see your doctor! We shouldn't give out medical advice.'. Personally, I sure like to think that's assumed. There IS rudness on this board, but this wasn't one of those cases. :-)- Drumroll For Iggychic!
So,....when ya gotta go pee, do you say ennie meenie mighty moe, where shall I go?? Lol. Sorry, couldnt resist!! When will you be able to wander beyond your confined quarters?- How Much You've Lost

- All The Single Ladies...

Aviiva we should start a thread that says 'only nice people allowed. Kindness only!'. I wont post now where some of those people post. I'm here for friendships.- Exhausted! Not Sure A Week Is Enough Out Of Work
I'm almost on week 4. Today my husband and I cleaned the house & changed our bedding and did laundry. I'm exhausted. I just climbed in bed after a shower and havent budged. He brough me a protien drink for dinner. How romantic. Anyway.....i am stull exhausted!! I work with dogs so i'm taking another month off. :-)- All The Single Ladies...

Lol! Shhhh....don't jinx it!! :-)- Have You Lost Friendships/relationships Since Weight Loss?
This just reminded me, included in the surgoens paperwork that I had to sign was a statement that said something to the effect that patient is aware that this sugery can cause relationship issues which could led to divorce and that the surgoen suggests counseling but is not liable for the demise of any relationship. I found that kinda sad.......- Leg Cramps!
I figured! But these days, with *cough cough* some people jumping all over what we post, I wanted to cover my shrinking a*s and not turn this thread into a warzone. :-) Is it any better?- Leg Cramps!
More like restless legs? Could be a deficiency. Keep an eye on them tonite and do make sure you call your doc in the morning if you won't call him now. The other poster was right, you really don't want to mess around with a blood clot so it should be ruled out by a medical person- not us on here. :-).- Is This Normal? Help!
Totally normal! And the other people are right, go back to clear. You really don't want to get dehydrated. Just because the doc says you can start full, doesnt mean you HAVE to. Good luck!!- Liquid Or Solid?
I THINK that extra Water isn't recommended. As a soup its part of the meal. The reason for the restriction is because you want to start with an empty sleeve to start with. Then after you eat, if you drink, the liquid pushes the food thru faster and you get hungrier sooner. I have an auto-immune disease where my cells don't create enough mucous/liquid. So I HAVE to drink while eating or I can't swallow because I have very little saliva. I was afraid that I wouldnt qualify for the surgery because of the drinking, but the surgeon understood and waived the no drinking for me. So, its not that bad things will happen if you have liquid w your food, it just isnt the best use of your new tool.- Drumroll For Iggychic!
Oh no!! Iggy! I can imagine that you are so tired of being cooped up, but don't sabotage yourself!!- Drumroll For Iggychic!
You better stay put, missy!!! You've come so far, you don't want to mess yourself up now! The LAST thing you need is a broken bone becuase you wobbled on the stairs!! - Leg Cramps!
